Yeah, I heard on the radio that his family got up and walked out of the inquest
Not good Quote:
England have been playing a warm-up. Another good score for Duckett (59, retired). Unfortunately not so much for Hameed (16). I guess they'll try and get a second innings in.

Hadn't realised this :
If he is around, of course Alastair Cook opens. But Cook, who was in Bangladesh for acclimatisation purposes during the one-day series, has returned to England with his wife's birth of their second child imminent. For all the confidence from Cook and in the camp, there has to be a chance, given the paucity and duration of flights, that he does not make it back for Thursday morning's toss. That eventuality would mean that England would field two debutants at the top of the order for the first time since 1937, when Len Hutton and Jim Parks Jr made their bow, and a new captain, http://www.espncricinfo.com/banglade...y/1061846.html |

Nice to see dharamasala quick and bouncy again no idea how it was slow and low bounce in march.
quite hard to explain that considering groundsmen can't really alter the natural water levels or the altitude of the ground. very weird considering majority of the time the ground is quick and bouncy. |

NZ recovered somewhat with a whirlwind 50 from Southee Currently 179/9 off 43 with Tom Latham with a chance of carrying his bat |

Surprised this is Pandya first odi, since he is really a better option than Rishi Dhawan and Binny for the fast/medium pace bowler all rounder slot.
Thought he would have played an odi with him being considered for the T20 role last year. |

Duckett and Hameed both impressing again in totally different ways
A fluent 60 from Duckett before retiring and Hameed a watchful 28* with Root now at the crease |

i doubt clarke will be getting a xmas card from shane watson this year http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-37674994 Quote:
According to leaked court documents, former coach Mickey Arthur claimed in 2013 that Clarke had called Watson "a cancer" on the national side.
But Clarke told the programme: "No, I didn't say that." "I said that there is a number of players, a group in this team at the moment, that are like a tumour and if we don't fix it, it's going to turn into a cancer." Asked if that applied to Watson, Clarke replied: "Shane was one of those players, yes." |

Looks like the possibility of an exciting finish in Dubai
Chasing 336, West Indies are 232/6 with Darren Bravo 102* 114 needed off the final session with 4 wickets left Should be a good watch (Channel 789 on Sky - thanks Darren) 8pm : This Test is still fascinatingly poised. West Indies lost two wickets in a space of three balls, but Bravo is still gusting it out. He unbeaten on 102. He has faced 481 balls in this Test, four more than Azhar Ali had done. The second new ball is Bravo's next challenge. Holder is keeping him good company. West Indies need 114 runs, Pakistan four wickets. Will a dew-affected ball make things tougher for Pakistan in the last session? 38 overs left in the day, but don't we can't get them all. Be back in 30 minutes http://www.espncricinfo.com/pakistan...h/1050229.html |

Valiant effort from the West Indies but looks as though Pakistan will wrap the game up shortly

Pakistan complete their win by 56 runs with the last 2 wickets being run outs as Holder tried to keep the strike
Good effort from the Windies who were only 12 overs from saving the game |

Couple of jaw-dropping (to me anyway!) snippets from cricinfo - 1 is that Cook is to become Englands most capped player; blimey, I still see him as an up-and-coming youngster with huge potential! and 2 is that England have seven Tests before Christmas. Is that right? There are barely 9 weeks so they must all be back-to-back; and 5 Tests in India in a month-and-a-bit will test both sides. I think the situation is completely barmy. No idea how conditions in Bangladesh will compare with India, although I assume they are similar enough not to warrant warm-up games.
On the plus side looks like there are no one-day internationals during the series. |

Cook wins the toss and elects to bat
Ben Duckett is opening with him and Gareth Batty is in the team as well Spreads calling England runs at 399-414 Think we may get more than that |
