Is that right? There are barely 9 weeks so they must all be back-to-back; and 5 Tests in India in a month-and-a-bit will test both sides. I think the situation is completely barmy. No idea how conditions in Bangladesh will compare with India, although I assume they are similar enough not to warrant warm-up games.
On the plus side looks like there are no one-day internationals during the series.”
ODI series is after christmas, england go home for 2-3 weeks where india plays a test against Bangladesh.
Not sure the conditions are that similar apart from that it turns. india pitches are quicker and they use a different ball.
really Bangladesh pitches are more similar to UAE than india.
only really Sri lanka comes close to india pitches now in the subcontinent.
only real benefit of Bangladesh would be that the batsman have time in the middle and the spinners bowled some overs.
Some bounce in the pitch, not sure i have ever seen that in Bangladesh, plus some swing and seam for the pace men.
Acclimatisation isn't that useful either considering Rajkot/mohali is likely to be colder and less humid.
From experience winter in india can be freezing especially in the north and in Gujarat, doesn't help the houses are designed to remove heat.
Rajkot might be ok since it early nov but Mohali is guaranteed to be cold, might even be - figures if England are lucky like in 2012 when Delhi was freezing during January
