i know this isn't a glamour series for SKY but wondering if this is the start of the changing of the guard in their test commentary team with the likes of Key and Cork involved

very good spell by stokes this morning getting the ball to reverse and he clears up the tail

bangladesh all out for 248, said yesterday i thought 293 was a pretty decent score on this pitch and in a good position now with bangladesh having to bat last

really good bowling from Stokes that, possibly the difference in this match. He has this Bothamesque/Flintoff habit of just doing something special every now and then.

Terrific spell from Stokes

Was surprised that Cook's catch was given out though as the ball appeared to hit the grass

One of those tricky ones where you think it's out but the slo-mo makes you doubt it

Hope Duckett isn't as nervous this time around

Yeah, hopefully not, it was quite clever the opening with Mehedi though from banglas, I mean with modern cricket the England camp would have been looking at videos of all the potential bowlers thinking of ways to play them, and then this bloke I doubt anyone saw wandered on and bowled really well.

One would hope they've studied the tape of the first innings and worked out a plan.

even though by the first ball maybe not.

with the chances that bangladesh have created already you would think so

id take 220-240 now to set bangladesh 280ish to win

Didn't even consider it would be going over the top with it being such a low pitch

Hopefully Duckett can take advantage and make a decent contribution

Shakib at the other end . Needs to make amends for his dismissal this morning that set the tone

Yeah, I'd take that

Tempted to get involved and sell but it spoils the viewing as I want England to win

Yes. fair point

I'd not heard of him on Thursday but it seems like he has a very good pedigree in U-18 cricket

Think he may be around for some time . Looks a terrific talent

his problem is going to be that bangladesh just dont play enough test cricket

think this is the first test they have played for something like 14-15 months

If I was a county side without a decent spin bowler (Take your Pick !!) I'd be signing him up

To be able to bowl with that control (on debut as well) tells me he has the makings of something special

Feet not moving

Wonder how many important wickets have fallen in the final 15 minutes of the session

Duckett seems to be using the same technique that he used in the first innings, of staying leg side of the ball
Doesn't look very convincing at the moment

not great from Cook, absolutely hideous in every way from Root. Match back in the balance, as ,erm, Ballance comes to the crease.

Listening to TMS and watching tv with the sound down

Vic Marks just made a good point about the inexperience of Duckett as the non striker when DRS is involved. Need to have an 'umpiring head' on nowadays for when a review is possible

Wonder if this may give us a (slight) advantage over India in the forthcoming series

hopefully he'll go on to a big score after me saying this but i think ballance is a terrible player of spin and was surprised to see him play especially with all the left-handers it gives us in the top 7

8 wickets in that session

Would be tempted to send a right hander in next but with Stokes having bowled a long spell in those conditions and Bairstow having the gloves for a long period, they may not be the best choices to promote

3 wickets in the final 15 minutes (again)

Spreads now showing 194 - 204.....
