This is like one of those spells that Broad usually puts in at the Oval

Excellent bowling

Wow broad bowled 9 overs in a spell.
that some effort plus he bowling the same intensity like it is the first over.

Probably unless a wicket goes in the next Batty over, Shabbir has hit Moeen and Rashid about a bit, every run still counts, and Moeen has been a lot better with the new ball.

This is going to be a big anti climax if after all this everyone watching isn't going to see the result and you'll need to wake up at 4:30am to watch about 30 minutes cricket!

Might be the best idea, considering he can't bowl pace today.
Few overs of spin might take 2 wicket but probably going to concede the runs that seam won't.

I think Bangladesh are going to win this.

(Well, had they stayed on...)

End of play

Another early start tomorrow

33 to win

Must favour England I would think

People will complain, but right move for me. Tired bowlers with a batsman well set.

not sure why people would complain considering the pace men can't bowl and the spinners are probably going to lose the game if they bowl 5-6 overs.
way better coming back tomorrow needing 2 wicket to win from 33 run in the bank rather than 2 wickets to win with 10-14 runs in the bank.

That's a shame

Will be a bit anti climactic whoever wins now

iirc there have been wickets in the first over of the day each of the last 3 days

will be happy if that continues tomorrow

It's a 5 day game not a 4 day match. Absolutely right decision especially as the new ball is due soon

Odds:

Bangledesh 15/8
Draw 250/1
England 2/5

I actually think Bangledesh are slight favourites here. 33 runs is not a lot to defend, very little room for error for England.

Couple of edges/boundaries and were down to 25 etc just like that. England bowlers are going to have to be pretty accurate tomorrow.

Maybe they won't, they shouldn't, but I have a feeling some members of the press will whine as it means they have to come back next day, and they'll say it's negative.

It's by far the optimum way to win. Stokes and Broad tomorrow for me, if they haven't got the wickets, Moeen and Batty to take the new ball. Two chances.

From the cricinfo site

Umpires - MA Gough (England) and RK Illingworth (England)
TV umpire - PR Reiffel (Australia)
Match referee - JJ Crowe (New Zealand)
Reserve umpire - Ahsan Raza (Pakistan)

No idea when/if it was changed or the beeb just got it wrong

Gough's having as bad a time as Dharmasena with another 2 overturned in a short space of time by the Pakistan openers

TMS been awful this winter so far, even Agnew been quite rude at times, openly saying he doesn't know which bangladesh players are which in the field.

What price the tie ?

Most bookies don't offer the tie.
Although would place an 10p bet on the draw since I reckon Bet365 might class a tie as a draw lol.
751.00 for the draw lol.
not got the option for the tie though.

in t20 games if the game is a tie they just refund the stake, not sure what happens in a test match since they do offer the draw.

in betfair exchange thing they got the Tie at 32.0 if you backing it or 55.0 if you going to lay it.

So is anyone going to get up 5am to watch this then?

I just want to know who the hardcore cricket fans amongst us are.

I think England will win now

Fresh pace bowlers will mop up 2 wickets pretty quickly

If I was Cook I'd have instructed Broad and Stokes to bowl bouncers as soon as it started going a bit dark, force the umpires to take them off...................obviously coming back tomorrow was the better option from some time before he appeared to think of it

Yes he does and it was the right decision.

It has been a good test match.

I want England to win but I would be sort of excited for Bangladesh if they win.

If you had listened more carefully you would have heard him say that it was because of the large floppy sun hats (so he couldn't see their faces). He even struggled to identify Cook who was not wearing his usual cap.
