Stars end up with a par 176/9 Game on

Tuned back to the Test and another review in England's favour

Not sure how De Kock thought Root had touched that

I don't think they'll have that option. England should save it

Well done to Sydney , pity they relied on a such a shabby bit of umpiring with Khawaja to get them their trophy.

i would have guessed it was around 40,000 from the pictures , certainly nowhere near the capacity crowd i saw being predicted after the semis, the upper deck was pretty empty

I see the ECB are looking into to how they can bring their version of the Big Bash to the UK in order to use it as a way to get the youngsters into cricket and from there into being Test fans.

I think it could help if they made it mandatory for live T20 matches to be on terrestrial tv or at the very least a sharing deal with Sky - with one on Sky and the other on Freeview. It could also help Sky to sell cricket as part of its coverage.

I wonder now what sort of job BT will do next year when they take over the coverage. Looked like Sky at 1 point this week we're almost at the front entrance of a building for their studio coverage

Not sure whether a Big Bash style tournament would work in the UK

As mentioned above, needs to be on terrestial TV, guaranteed weather would help and , most importantly, it needs the ECB to release it's contracted players for all matches

in theory i think its a great idea , in practice i dont see how it works alongside the county structure

could also lead to even more of a divide between the counties with test venues and the rest given i would expect the franchises would be based in the cities where the test venues are

that doesn't actually have to happen, Australia test players don't even hold Big bash contracts any more and even if they still do they hardly play it.
Uk issue is really the Schedule/ number of teams.
if they had 8 teams it would be easier since English odi stars and up and coming players all play in the same teams and the talent isn't diluted.
England still have Luke Wright, Hales, Buttler, Bairstow, Willey, Topley, Curran, so many top players.
When blast gets into the knock-out stages it is actually a good competition just the group stages can be a bit dull and it gets a bad name because loads of the teams don't have top players and the quality isn't the same as other leagues.
But isn't true to say it need England top players because it really doesn't
from the test team only Stokes and one of bairstow/Buttler will be missed all the odi/t20 players should be playing the competition.

Bloody hell I am getting good at predicting at dtcdtcdtc competition.
just realised I predicted England to win the series and it was 2-0.
Think I got the Ashes and the India series correct as well last summer and the summer before.

Isn't it on pay tv in Australia?
For me the main reason it will never be the same here is the weather, pure and simple.
