It is but Sir Geooffrey says that a keeper should be judged on what he misses.

India's mate middle order are proving to be a bit of a nuisance.

If India get 100 runs lead they may just be in contention despite batting last. Cook will as usual delay declaration till he has more than 400 on board. That is if England get the chance to declare. A target of 250 and India will lose.

83/1 in the morning and India's session again with only Ashwin falling

354/7 with a lead of 71

204/6 to 408/8

The last 2 wickets have doubled the score

Good batting from India but disappointing from an England view

Edit : Cook drops one at slip that should have been taken

Edit 2 : 2 balls later Bairstow doesn't move as Yadav edges one between him and Cook. Another one that should have been taken

ben Stokes doesn't look amused

Edit 3 : Moeen hangs on to one and Stokes gets his wicket from the 3rd chance in the over

414/9

417 all out and 5 for Stokes

Early tea. Not sure if Hameed will open ?

Root opening with Cook

Hameed's injury must be worse than we've been told ?

Just switched on to see Root opening. So what happened to Hameed?

Injured his hand/finger when dismissed in the first inns

Been in the nets but not risked it seems ?

Speculating on TMS that he has a broken finger and they didn't want India to know

India review a not out for LBW and , after what seems an eternity for the review to appear, the replay finally appears and it's missing leg

Thought it may have been out in real time viewing as well

and now another review , this time by Cook as he's been given out

and he survives as it's pitched outside leg by a micron

Moeen, the next man in, must be getting dizzy....

Root is standing near enough in front of the stumps at the non-strikers end so that he can give a better opinion on lbw reviews

and Cook is bowled. Hasn't looked in the best of form this series

The pitch is now looking like a minefield...

Only the 3rd Englishman to bat in all positions 1-9 after Wilfred Rhodes and Trevor Bailey (courtesy of the radio comms)

I suppose that's some sort of achievement for Moeen. Pity he soon got out with a tame shot. 47-2.

So what chance an England win ?

I reckon they will have to bat all day tomorrow to get a lead of around 200 and give themselves a chance

The bookies don't think England have much chance.......they're 10/1 with India 7/1 ON

The only thing in England's favour is that if we don't get bowled out we could score fairly quickly with our middle order batsmen..........that might give us more runs to play with

If we could get a 200 lead I reckon we'd have a chance.........though realistically it's probably unlikely that we'll get it

Bairstow out........

I'm getting more pessimistic.........now seems unlikely that we'll bat out tomorrow morning and the game will be over tomorrow......
swingaleg
28-11-2016
Stokes out..........still 56 runs behind

within 30 minutes I've gone from 'how can England win' to 'can we avoid an innings defeat'

Test cricket, eh !.......

Ali needs to be dropped for his 2 shots in this test embarrassing both of them

So you would drop Ali and bring in Billings and Roy ?

Thank goodness you are not a selector

But this is test match cricket in India, not a county game in Kent

And who would you have not taken for Billings and Roy ?

If we're dropping players for poor shots then you'd be changing 3 or 4 every game.

Moeen has 1 poor test and the people who clearly just don't like him are straight on it.

Batty isn't needed so he's 1 and if Hameed has broken his finger were gonna need to call up an opener anyway
