England 477 all out. India will probably score around 700.

If Dawson and Rashid can score 66 and 60, then Kohli will probably score 401.

Thanks for that insight teenage keyboard warrior.

OR in this game of score predictions it could all go pear shaped for you and india might get bowled out for sub 350 and then there'll be trouble.

Pitch is a road no doubt India will pile on 600-650 and we'll be hanging on 9 down on Day 5
Good to see us get after Ashwin today though Dawson and Rash were impressive

How long do you think it would take them to get a 150 lead ?

India could still be batting at the close of Day 4 leaving themselves a full day 5 too have a go at bowling us out
England need to take wickets tomorrow if India are still batting at the close of play they can't win it

During the lunch interval, on TMS ,they are playing an episode of Hancock's half hour

Colin Cowdrey, Godfrey Evans, Frank Tyson and John Arlott all involved

Cook drops a tricky one and then one goes through a vacant 3rd slip

297/3 with Rahul going well

India not getting away as seemed likely when they were going at 4 an over in the morning

KL Rahul looks like he wants to cry

Awful shot and spoons a catch into the covers for 199

372/4 and it looks like it will be a tough final day on Tuesday

(opener) Vijay comes in at 6 and survives 1st ball review

23 wickets (so far....) for Rashid and equals the most wickets in a series by a leg spinner for England

You'd imagine India will try bat most of tomorrow then stick England in to save the game for a day and a bit.

Terrific fightback from Pakistan in Brisbane after a dire first 3 days

Chasing 490 to win, they are 382/8 with a day to go

Unlikely , but still good to see some fight

from Cricinfo :

After a 550-minute day, Pakistan have shown what they can do with application and grit. They batted through the fourth day, adding 312 runs and losing six wickets. In the process, they made the highest fourth-innings score at the Gabba and have given themselves the slimmest chance of the most famous win in Test cricket.

Re the 550 minute day, it's not something I had given any thought to when discussing day/night Tests. Over 9 hours for the spectators is a long time let alone the umpires

I'm still getting my head around the timng of these D/N game. Pakistan have shown a lot of determination batting second time around after their weak first innings. Steve Smith gave his bowlers 2 days to take 10 wickets and fair dos sometime tomorrow they will have won the game. It shows how decent a Brisbane test wicket it has been.

They have all these slow bowlers so Cook reckons he needs to bowl them more.

what a shame about Pakistan's terrible first innings but at least they've shown some fight.
Afraid I quite enjoyed watching Smith drop a catch too

Interesting difference between the pitches for this India vs England series as opposed to the India vs SA series. The latter were a spin-fest minefield, a joke really. Wonder if it's because England are part of the trio of nations that now own world cricket (India, England, Aus) or because England have better spin bowlers than SA. Either way, has made for a better series even if India do so well at home. England would beat them in England.

England beats everyone at home these past few years. Except for the drawn recent Pakistan in Eng series i think Eng has won most of the test series at home in the last 10 years.

It's getting exciting at the Gabba

Pakistan are 449/8 needing another 41

Yasir has had a successful review as well a dropped catch by Wade

2 wickets in an over and Australia win by 38

Shame , that would have been a magnificent chase in more ways than one

I notice that Dawson bowled the whole of the session . Not sure if Cook is trying to make a statement that his other spinners can't offer any control. Stokes bowled 8 successive overs as well. Not sure why he's been so under-used in the last few sessions as it shows he's not carrying an injury

TMS/BBC doing a vote on the cricketing moment of 2016

I've gone for Carlos Brathwaite in the World T20

Maybe, Rashid has only bowled one over today (the last before lunch)

Have never seen a long stop fielder in a test match.
Is Cook going mad?
