Cook really needs to go after this. No team should lose by an innings after scoring 400+ especially twice in a row. New leadership is needed.

Congratulations India.
Taking more runs off England than any other team has ever done and winning two tests by an innings after facing a 400 plus deficit That is extraordinary |

Oh come on, we never ever looked comfortable, we were always on the precipice of defeat, and it has showed.

England won the toss four times.
God knows what the winning margins would have been if India had batted first. |

Cook looks like he's finished 4 years is the usual cycle for England captains, I think the players need a new voice on the field
The options are not exactly plentiful. |

Just shows the fine line between a crushing innings defeat and hanging on for a draw.
It was always going to be tough to win any Test in India especially without a world class spinner but we really should have converted at least two of those defeats into draws. |

That has to rank as one of the most humiliating embarrassments in English cricketing history, and it's up against some pretty stiff competition. Truly shameful.

Before this Series, a team had only lost by an innings after scoring 400+ twice in the history of Tests. Now it has happened four times.

Interesting news about Jack Leach this morning apparently there's concerns about his action he would have been allowed to be named in the original touring squad but not as a replacement which is why Liam Dawson was called up

It's hard to think of too many positive things from this tour.
Disappointed in the management of it with some very odd decisions Why were Ballance, Duckett and Finn kept if they weren't going to feature. At worst they should have joined the Lions in Abu Dhabi for some practice/coaching Still haven't fathomed out how they came to the decision of Duckett opening in Bangla instead of Hameed |

The Verdict is excellent viewing tonight, the 3 of them are absolutely nailing the state of this England team.
Fancy Dan batsmen who are hailed as great and can get attractive hundreds but are just as likely to give their wickets away with braindead shots, the number of collapses in the last couple of years and something that's long been a bugbear of mine - the lack of performance in dead rubbers in series, whether we've won or lost the series in question. The shots that Moeen, Bairstow, Stokes and Root played this afternoon would embarrass a school team, let alone supposedly world class players. |

Not watching the verdict, but Root got his first baby due in a couple of weeks so I'd be surprised if he is willing to take on England captaincy this year...sounds trite, but I reckon it could influence the decision
