Saw this odd stat on Cricinfo

Alex Hales :

There can't be many batsmen who have opened in all 3 international formats and have higher scores the less overs they play. Test - 60, ODI - 109, T20I - 116*"

alot of shots of nasty looking clouds near the ground , be a shame if this gets interrupted , the rain is nearby , just depends if its heading to the ground or going to bypass it

A bowler could attempt this all the time without penalty. If the batter is in it should be a no ball
You would punish the side keeping within the law to stop the other side from attempting something which is not within the law? It is a strange world we live in!

need 20 overs for it to be a game and the par score SA need at the 20 over mark is 169 if only 2 wickets down i think

could decide the game

not just saving the 6 and getting abdv out but the wicket falling will push the D/L score up too

You can't keep Stokes out of the game

Excellent catch made to look ridiculously easy

On the replays, it looks like Stokes would have stood on the boundary rope if the wind hadn't blown them off their marks
As Mike Haysman said, if they had been in the correct position, he would have done a triple sommersault ..!

its hard to say as you dont know if he would have altered his motion to take account of the ropes had they been there

Is there any reason why they don't show what the D/L score is on the scoreboard bar at the bottom of the screen

They seem to show everything else on there

No I wouldn't. I would punish a side for sharp practice.

That would be the batting side.

As I recall the last time this was discussed there were a lot callers from the Northern club leagues wondering what all the fuss was about and puts me in mind of when cricket was class-riven such that the sporting behaviour of gentlemen batters should not dare be challenged by the player bowlers (at least not in public).

The boundary looked a right mess.

I was a working class bowler and it never occurred to me to do it.
