I've just seen it happen so many times before that I guess I don't have much faith in them to finish this off

that over takes the pressure off a little , 16 runs from it, at least gets the rate under a run a ball anyway

My god our one-day team is such a refreshing one now, chalk and cheese from before.

Sam Curran, Mahmood and Lawrence have all looked very good. Would be surprised if they didn't play representative cricket, going to be tough tonight though against Sri Lanka in the sub-continent.

You go into these ODIs almost expecting to win which is unusual!

Looks like England have been poor today wanted them to win as well wanted an England vs india Semi Final.
TBH it doesn't really matter Under 19 level isn't really about winning but finding players to represent the teams in national level.
This is by far England best under 19 team since 1998.

McCullum with a typically fast paced 47 off 27 balls to end his ODI International career..

Kiwis will miss him but then have a few big hitters in their ranks.

New Zealand win the series

Both sides lower orders collapsed with NZ losing their last 5 for 9 runs in 15 balls and Australia going from 153/4 and seemingly cruising to 191 all out

No doubt the Aussies will whinge about Marsh's dismissal

And they call us whinging poms! I never realised for years what public whingers aussies were when they lost, probably as for about 15 years i'd never seen them lose a thing! Ponting being run out by our 12th man in 2005 Ashes the first incident i saw.

Yes i'd be a lttle disappointed if i was the batting team as it didnt get sorted until after the incident appeared on the big screen replay. But to be such bad sports and the captain Smith to bring it up sulkily at the presentation ceremony was unsporting. If you watch the clip (its on youtube) both the bowler and a fielder made half-hearted and unenthusiastic appeal at the time. I can hear "Howzat" on video clip presumably from a fileder as Henry caught it, so at that point the umpire should either have said not out (wrongly) or referred it to 3rd umpire because an official appeal by the fielding side had been made.

And they whinge about Broad being *over* enthusiastic in his appeals too! Perhaps they should issue guideline for the correct style and level of intensity when appealing?

It's a weird feeling going into a ODI game expecting to win it comfortably how things have changed

Whether we do it in this game is another matter. All England have to do now is hit every poor ball for a boundary and we will well past 300.

That was a painful innings from Morgan. In a way it's probably for the best that he got out
