More contract turmoil with the West Indies

(We have the West Indies in our first game )

The prospect of West Indies sending a second-string team to the World T20 has increased after the sides failed to reach agreement in their contract impasse.

WICB CEO Michael Muirhead responded to the players' request for a doubling of their remuneration package in the tournament by reiterating the view that the compensation package was agreed with the players' union, WIPA, last year and would not be changed on the eve of the event.

Muirhead also stated that any player who had not confirmed their acceptance of the current contacts by February 14 would be presumed to have refused selection.

It's a bit of a disastrous start by New Zealand against Australia. 51/5 after only 12 overs!

Well they did say the pitch was green!

Australia finished the day on top although Voges was fortunate to still be there

Bowled by Bracewell and Umpire Illingworth signalled a no-ball and he was reprieved

However, the replays showed it was a fair delivery but too late to review

I agree with the commentators that they always seem to wait for a replay when the batsman is out to see if it's a no-ball, surely they should do it when it is signalled too ?

AB wins the toss and invites England to bat

Broad and Woakes in for Willey and Jordan and Morris in for Morkel

Spreads calling England runs at 315 - 325

Listening to the pundits, that may be a bit low

No involvement for me

Early wicket for the Proteas in our innings which could slow us down a little. They may look like a team of Mr Blobbys in their pink kit but have come out bowling like a top 1 day side so far.

predictions were for a very high scoring game today so england look a little behind the pace atm , albeit only 12 overs gone

Joe Root always seems to get a 50.

Root and Woakes going along nicely .........still 13 overs to go though

if we don't get bowled out we could still make 250-ish which would give the bowlers something to work with

Yes, it's been a good recovery since the sixth wicket went down.

I guess they could have got another 10 if he had been a bit more circumspect but I guess Rashid thought another 20 would be better.

The Old Pro would have looked for a personal 50 not out

Haven't seen much but listened to (most of) TMS

The commentators seemed to think we may have been trying to set too high a target

Game on in the cricket

143/5 off 29 needing another 121

Been some odd/poor umpiring today

South Africa have blown it big time. England 3-1 up with one to play. It'll be nice to make it 4-1, but winning the series is good enough.
