The only downside of technology...needless referrals by umpires for decisions that are obvious to the naked eye

I know we've getting absolutely crunched here but it's fantastic to watch two of the best players in the world going at it full pelt in tandem.

You can accuse me of being negative if you wish but I find it hard to believe that there aren't bowlers better than Chris Jordan
Yes he can field and bat a bit but his main job is take wickets. Every match that he plays he seems to be the least economical bowler whilst taking the odd wicket here or there. There has to be a better option |

Who was that bowler who took 3-23 in the first match again?

Have to agree Wonder if they can emulate NZ's effort against Sri Lanka by winning by 10 wickets |

Usual ? In the last match you blamed the defeat on Reece Topley, so you obviously thought the batting was very good.

I wasn't happy with the batting. Far from it. But Topley without doubt cost us the game.

Did he ? So therefore you must have thought the batsmen scored enough if they didn't cost us the game too. Personally I thought Topley had a poor game but he was not the only one. For me the batsmen were 30 runs short but you obviously disagree.
As I mentioned a few minutes ago, I was not happy with the batting display. |

It was Topley's run out attempt from the last ball of the game that I am referring to.

South Africa 6/1 for World T20. I know it is in totally different conditions with different pitches but that is a value bet for me.

That is a very childish attitude to say that run out cost us the game. Had we scored 30 more runs we wouldn't have been in that situation. To blame one ball and one action of a young guy playing the biggest moment of his career for it is not on in my book.

Perhaps. But it was the last ball of the game and rightly or wrongly the game will be remembered for that run out opportunity. But it won't be remembered for long (as long as I stop banging on about it! lol). I don't much care for the results in these games and the ODI's. As long as we win the Test series, that is all that matters to me. People will forget us blowing a 2-0 lead in the ODI's, and Topley's run out opportunity (last time I'm going to mention it! Honest!). But we will all remember Broad's 6-17 and 8-15 for many many years!
