RIP Martin Crowe - New Zealand have lost another sporting legend. His batting seemed effortless like a right-handed David Gower.

Yes have to agree there. I was at this game with my dad and still remember it to this day:

http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engin...ch/482376.html

As a Warwickshire supporter on that day there was only one thing to worry about and that was Martin Crowe. Absolute class without question, played beautifully. No easy task to follow the sacked Richards and Garner at Somerset-but class always tells in the end.

RIP Martin Crowe.

Sad news about Martin Crowe. Well worth watching when he was at the crease

Just watching the SA/Aus T20 game and a youngster has just got a black eye from a ricochet ball that went for 6

Gonna be a big shiner

wonder who its going to be this time , if they have evidence against players from a team and they take part in the world t20 then there is going to be a doubt over every game they play

not really the sort of cloud the tournament would want hanging over it

Any of the big teams can out perform any of the others in a one off in t20. Would never bet against SA with AB.

zimbabwe making hard work of their innings in the first game of the t20 WC

after a fast start, despite a really stupid runout from masakadza, wickets have tumbled and they are in danger of setting hong kong a chase-able target

chigumbura plays a nice late cameo to get zimbabwe up to 158 after looking like they might struggle to get to 140 with a couple of overs to go

those runs chigumbura scored in the last couple of overs proving to be vital as hong kong just had a little too much to do but gave zimbabwe a little scare here

lol!
That's the sort of thing that usually happens to Lancashire and it has happened abroad in early April - wet and miserable where they were warming up but cracking the pavements in Ancoats.

Bet no-one remembers Dennis Howell (showing my age there!) but he must have been a Lanky fan.

and HK started off a bit slow, couldn't find the boundary.......were OK mid-innings but had too much to catch up on at the end

Scotland probably up against it now against the Afghans

170 for the Afgans - going to be a very tough run case for the Scots then.

great start for scotland in the chase

60-0 at the end of the first 6 over powerplay

i'm sure we will find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory however

You bet

Are the Afghan's more experienced at international 20/20 than Scotland? Some of the Scots batting was beyond belief, ie, backing off to the leg side and going for the hit time and time again whereas if they'd stood still they would have the wide and an extra ball.

Notice the screen scorebox couldn't cope with the wicket off a wide! They just put a "W" in the box and no mention of wd; in he past I've seen 2 and a run-out off a no-ball; try putting that on the scoresheet!!

Well the Scots have never won a Twenty20 - maybe that was the problem.

Didn't know how to finish the game when well placed?

they finish on 153 which i think will be enough but gives holland a chance

bit of a one man show from bangladesh with an unbeaten 83 from tamim who batted through the whole 20 overs
