Our batting looks so weak thy could do with me opening. But, yes, I've been using the 20/20 to do some scouting for the Mighty, but I'm not bothered about good 20/20 players, we need someone who can build a good 150 in a CC game Some of the Bangladesh/Afghanistan players have looked useful....but could they cope with a green top at Derby when it's 8c in the sun?

Dropped catches have probably added another 10 runs to the total

Bangla still in the game but will have to bat well

The only way they'll learn is to play

I really like the look of Mustafikur and he fits current vogue of left arm swing bowlers

As I type, he gets his 5th

I wouldn't like to face him on a green top at Derby when it's 8 degrees....

If it rained - the weather's probably perfect but hey - Eng would be 2nd on 5pts and SA couldn't catch, but SL could with their game in hand and would require a sufficient run-rate.

What is the weather over there today?

possible chance of a little rain about an hour after the start from what i can see but doesn't look serious

SL's NRR is already better than ours so if today was a no result then they would definitely go through with a win against SA

Bangla falling apart here at 44/6

No wonder Boult and Southee can't get a game when the slow bowlers are doing this

And the fllodlights have gone out

Wonder if it's a disgruntled bookie that has pulled the plug.........

i really wasn't expecting pitches as slow as these or with as much turn

It just said on comms that he's already signed for Sussex

No doubt the tide will be in when we're facing him....

Wonder if he's missing the back up of the review system that most of the newer umpires seem to rely on nowadays....”

He's just given an LBW that was very poor as well

Luckily, the match is already out of Bangladesh's reach

Hope he isn't selected for the semi finals

Bangla skittled for 70

Be a big ask to beat the Kiwis on this kind of surface

1 change for each side

Hales in for Vince

Dasun in for Kulasekera

No Senayeke which is good for us I think

Spreads calling England runs at 162 - 168

Think that may be optimistic

bumble just saying that this pitch looks better for batting than some of the pitches we have seen so might need at least that

Maybe.

It's the same pitch that the Aussie women played Ireland earlier on and Meg Lanning was bowled by a grubber in that !!

Delhi usually a good batting deck in ODI/T20 but the pitch is slow and the outfield isn't that quick either.
160 is usually a winning score.

If you can rotate the strike and play risk free boundary shots you can post a good and big score.
Needs Kohli, Root, Williamson type batting and less of Hales and Roy batting.
Tough to force the pace in scoring.

Then that actually suits england should be a bat first win game.
if the pitch has uneven bounce which delhi usually does on day 3-5 then batting will be very tough for T20 terms.
140 is a winning total now.
England should aim for 130 and see how they go in the last 5 overs.
if england bat well they could kill sri lanka can't see Sri lanka chasing 160 then.

I tend to agree with you

Aim for 130 and hope to get 150 rather than aim for 150 and end up with 130

Still, I do think we will win

Come on England
