Big hitter like Gayle, Buttler and AB are good but a touch player like Virat is great to watch

Fantastic game and what an innings to win it. Imagine being able to play like that with the pressure of a billion people's hopes and expectations on your shoulders.

....I hope they don't make another song about me......

Top play from Kohli and MS

Hope it's a decent pitch for the semi as it could be a cracking game

LOL Root is so far ahead of kohli.
Kohli got major weakness that Root doesn't have.

De- Villiers is far more reliable than Butler and Gayle.

He must be due a poor knock soon.

Kohli really is fabulous in run chases and he spoke really well afterwards. Maybe the Australians would have been better keeping Yuvraj and his injury in as India were much better once MS came in ( obviously they can't drop catches on purpose etc but they must have felt it was a pyrrhic victory one MS came in).

Same Slow pitch will make painful viewing but can understand why pitch are slow, makes the toss less important.
if the pitches are true, Chasing can be so easy in india because boundaries are tiny and getting 2-3 boundaries a over is quite easy.
Root, Kohli both showed this already in this tournament.

Win Predictor is a joke.
Agree. I guess because it relies far too heavily on the setting of a par score when even the best pitch reading cricketers in the world struggle to make even a half decent estimation pre-match?

It's so far out its not worth sticking with. But if they do insist on using it at least recalibrate it halfway through. Yesterday when Root & Roy could only score at 6 an over when trying to accelerate and again today with Finch and Maxwell batting together then it became obvious in both matches that par score was too high.

A good win. Name on the trophy for me. Ever since that game against Bangladesh when they choked. And let's face it Bangladesh are a top team, a wonderful side who rarely lose. A team who would have gone through had they not being in the GROUP OF DEATH. A side who are not c*** or s*** or poor at all. World beaters in fact. They would have been in with a shout had they not being in the GROUP OF DEATH.

That better Bhav you grumpy, foul mouthed fart

Bib. Completely agree, it was a huge turning point. Try chasing that total down when you cant run any 2s. So I couldnt help laughing at Watson catching Yuvraj out then celebrating in the outfield like he'd just won the match. For Watson to look so happy at increasing India's chances of the win cheered me up a lot.

How good was Kohli's 6 over long offs head in the 19th (faulkner) over!

I still wondering how Australia did not win that match Was it brilliant batting by Kohli or poor bowling by the opposition

Think he was allowed to bat; think the Aussies tried too much slow bowling stuff when a couple if wide yorkers would have kept them down to singles. Kohli did find the gaps beautifully, but I wonder if there was more pace on the ball and pitched further up whether he could have time to angle his bat?

Hope England will have a good look and if Aus did get it wrong, try to learn from that, should they both reach the final.

Don't actually think india will win.
England or WI winning this for me.

India only winning this if they chase against WI and eden garden is slow and turning.

India does have the advantage of having the best spinners though.

Root's from Yorkshire, how much more weakness do you want

Nah, even Lankyshire love him, except of course in Roses Tests, and good luck to the lad. But sick of seeing him and that ruddy little dog, think even his mum's getting fed up......

SIr Geoffrey has this right when he says that you can't tell what a good score is until both sides have batted. As true for T20 and ODI formats as it is for Tests I reckon.
