for me it is bat speed and not having the ability to use the wrist to get singles and boundaries that the men can.

england coach saying he doesn't think the fitness levels are good enough

given most of the squad, if not all, are now full-time, no excuse to have poor fitness levels especially when they dont play as much cricket as the men

English women have become so complacent in the last few years, I believe that is why they sacked or removed Shaw to give a new perspective in the women game.
Standards have dropped, Fitness and Fielding have declined.
during this time Australia have improved massively.
Pakistan, India, NZ, WI, SA have all gone full time and professional.

As you said they dont seem to have upper body strength. Brunt, who appears to have bigger build easily lifted a six. The other girls who are slim cant clear the circle. There is probably a lot of emphasis on running and stamina building rather than weight training and building upper body strength. Cricket is about hitting a ball very very hard or bowling it very fast. I remember Jadeja when he first toured Eng was a very slight boy. He did not have the strength. 2 years later he built his muscles and shoulders and became a great hitter of sixes.

Since becoming professional.
England women lost a test match to India.
Ashes to Australia
lost 2-1 to NZ, (did win the series though but the last 2 games don't count in the qualification.)
lost to Australia in the World cup championship league.
Won 2-1 to SA

England are 6 in the table behind Australia, WI, NZ and SA.
At best England scraping 4th place here and isn't a given since they got a series against WI coming up and they could possible lose a game to Pak and Sri lanka.
but they probably done enough to go past india but if SA win couple of game against Aus or NZ then England are probably out and would have to qualify for the home world cup next year.

Good, good and not sure, think we have enough batting depth to allow us the extra spinner - but wouldn't know who to leave out!

But cricinfo suggests there will be heavy dew later (although the start is 30' earlier) so NZ will have to bowl with a wet'un.

160-166 are the run lines.
so 163 is the par score.
NZ are favourites and market has given them a 3 run advantage so it looks like 160 is the even money mark.

2 or 3 early wickets would be handy........

poor start from willey.

poor first ball from willey , basically 4 free runs

that low bounce from jordan's first delivery might not bode well for batting second on this pitch

willey gets guptill , that makes the start look a little better

Delhi been a very hard wicket to read so far in this tournament.
looked very 2 paced.
Pace been hit out of the park but at the same time spinners that bowl slow or flight the ball been hit out of the park.
Spinners that dart the ball or pace men that bowl slower ball and cutters have done well.
Even the pace men that hit the deck have done well.

How can the umpire give that a wide when the ball went under the bat.
Bhaveshgor

If the dew doesn't come down reckon NZ are favourites here, got the better bowling attack for these conditions.
150 could be enough here.

Wow England bowling being dreadful again.
Bhaveshgor
30-03-2016
Rashid needs to bowl well here otherwise NZ could bat england out of the game, although for that to happen reckon NZ need 200.
