That effort by Kohli was top class. Almost every single was turned into a 2. They got extra 25 runs through sheer effort. Well played. Thats a lesson in how to turn a 170 into a 190.

Yes!!!!

No Gayle force and the team still did it. Class from Simmons.

Managed that game ever so well.

If West Indies win, Gayle will be due a failure in the final.
Gayle got his failure out of the way and West Indies still chased down 193!

Quite amazing performance after Gayle was out for 5. They have to be favourites for the final now given you can't expect Gayle to miss out again.

England & India played same number of games and both only lost to WI, one in final, one out. Interesting in a nerdy kind of way.

Great game today.

Well, if ever a game was decided by a no-ball!! **Just how many are the umpires missing that aren't a wicket - but should be a free hit??**

As above....Gayle's had his failure! I admit I didn't think the rest of the batting was up to it - wrong, wrong, wrong!!

How's TV coverage in the Windies, and how many will be watching the final? Be mid-morning for them. But I'd like the Windies not just to be a one-day team, we need them strong in the test arena, they've been in the doldrums too long.

They won't have the boundary size and pitch to help them though.
WI were always dangerous in Wankhede or Banglore.
Doubt they be that dangerous in Eden gardens with the huge outfield and far slower pitch.

WI batsman are still all boundaries and no rotation.

England should win the game and be decent favourites.

Indeed they did (should have lost to Bangladesh as well).

On a similar theme it would be quite something if West Indies win the final and then their only loss in the tournament will have been to Afghanistan!

India only came second in their group. NZ won it. Until yesterday NZ were only unbeaten side not India

Russell spent a season in our local league a few seasons ago and made a big impact.

In one game I umpired we nearly ran out of balls. He didn't run many singles. He was a nice chap as well.

He went for a few today but didn't have the benefit of the middle overs. Very good all rounder

India really threw that game away with 2 no balls on wickets!

West Indies really impressive bearing in mind Gayle went early.

Wankhede was well silenced today. The camera captured expressions really well. Hope they cheered the winners afterwards as i missed the presentations.

And we thought WI dont have depth.

Jason Roy will have to get us off in the finals.

Enjoyed Dhoni's press conference when he got the journalist up to question him about retiring
He seemed very relaxed for someone who had lost a semi final
