Supposedly an english cricketer might have taken EPO.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35953447

wouldn't surprise me if a cricketer did do it though since Cricket is less strict in this matter.

i'd be surprised if alot of cricketers haven't taken PEDs of some description when you consider how many have really muscled up over the last few years

Hardly any buildup to this on terrestrial news. Nothing last night on BBC.

Side note. How many Eng teams have made it to the finals of an international competition outside the Olympics. Not many i presume. This news blackout is strange.

If it was football.....
BBC give it decent coverage. Live radio commentary plus highlights online. Now if this was on BBC do you think sky sports news would give it much time ?

WI really going well in their chase , thought that australia might have done enough but WI well ahead of the required rate and still 10 wickets in hand

Hoping for England but expecting a Gayle-force..

Re the coverage, full match is on Radio 5 Sports extra and the 1st innings is on Radio 5 as well but will stop when the Manchester United/Everton game kicks off

With it being a World Cup Final, they should have it on the main station and the football on extra

I have heard a lot of coverage, though , on lots of different media outlets

Go England...

Very good chase from the West Indies Women

Think the last over of the Australia innings that only yielded 1 run was a big turning point

I agree, especially with an 18 year old playing so well. Well done to them after a slow start. I hope the men don't do the same though!

and a shocking piece of fielding ends the game

what should have been a runout and leaving the WI still needing 2 to win ends up going for overthrows and game over

shades of our game against holland a couple of years ago

If WI wins the final later on, they will do the treble this year.
Under 19 champions, Women Champions and possibly Men's champions.
Won't be able to make the Quadruple considering they haven't qualified for the Men Champions trophy in 2017.

From Cricinfo

Nearly 40,000 people stopped by our poll asking who would win the World T20 (before the comp started). West Indies got 6% votes and England, well, they got 1%. And here they are, at Eden Gardens, fighting to be called World Champions. It's like fate came up to us, pranced about, bopped us all on the nose and yelled "Gotcha!"

I'm guessing India must got 80%

I remember posting a few weeks ago I had backed South Africa and a few replied they fancied India or Australia. I don't think anybody tipped either of the finalists we have.

I betted on an india vs england final.

Weirdly was kind of happy India lost the semi would be so angry if it did happen considering I cashed out after india and England both lost their first games.

Didn't expect WI to qualify, I expected Sa and England to qualify with ease.

If the BBC had the television rights to it it would be headline news. Cricket coverage on TV is generally pretty bad but it's been awful during this tournament.

Have to find something to moan about eh ? Bet you were really upset England won the other day after you slated them so much

England vs WI Women series next winter will be huge.
Could be a winner take all for the world cup spot.
One of WI, England and India will have to qualify again for the World cup.
Looks really tight.

Coverage for the World cup been pretty good.
8-9 hours a day, Studio coverage, Loads of free short highlights available in the UK.
If anything the radio coverage been poor but I never listen to that anyway.

Radio coverage has not been poor. Lots of coverage on 5 Live and Sports Extra

Lots of coverage if you have Sky/Cable but not the best if you're at work and try to catch up on the way home /during breaks etc

I've already mentioned on the Radio 5 thread that I think all of the final should be on the main channel and not the Extra channel. Especially tricky to listen to when driving home so I had to go to the pub to watch a few of the finishes..

Yes, I was gutted that my country won and progressed to the final. Sorry for being so negative when after the first 10 overs NZ looked set for a massive score. Credit to the bowlers. Let's hope they perform similarly today.

Am I not allowed to predict anything other than an England victory? Is this not a free country we live in?

I believe that the WI will win but I would love it if we were to win. Hopefully we win the toss, bowl first, WI crack under the pressure of having to set a total and then Roy, Hales et al come out and knock the total off with ease

The coverage on the BBC has been poor. Talksport 2 have had live coverage of every match whereas the BBC have focused primarily on England and some of the bigger games such as Pakistan vs India and India vs Australia

In previous ICC tournaments their coverage has been much more comprehensive. I guess the budget cuts are really taking their toll

Of course you can but why only post on here when you have a criticism ? Do you not have the balls to come back on later and say "I was wrong in slating England and calling our bowlers so badly. But we've done well and bowled pretty damn good" ? All you do is post criticism and negatives so of course we are going to pick you up on it. Anybody can slag somebody off but it's not impossible to praise them too.
