I posted this in another thread but it will probably go unseen so I will repost here:
Gemili's changeover was poor. And guess who was involved in the DQ at the London olympics? Sadly, I can't defend Adam here.
Harry has been involved in some shaky changes over time, so has James Ellington (his fault last year IMO, and he was involved in a poor change in Moscow and of course today with Adam) and Richard Kilty just doesn't deserve the spot (and he's an unpleasant man). These three athletes were previously coached by Rana Reider who was also the relay coach and even though he's now left the UK, some of the entitlement and privilege still remains for these three athletes.
Last year, after getting disqualified, the blame instantly went on CJ. It was a witch hunt witnessed before our eyes directly after the race with the aggressive Richard Kilty shouting at CJ after the race. You even had Harry, who had been dropped from the final, retweeting tweets along the lines of "you should have been out there" "why would you change a perfect team?", etc, which was very unprofessional.
How can the girls get it so right and the boys get it so wrong? It doesn't help that they're delusional and genuinely think they can win. 5th place (which was 6th before the USA DQ) shouldn't shock anyone, especially with that lineup. Back to the drawing board AGAIN, after Phil was practically hanging a medal round their neck.
