Andrew Robertson shows he doesn't have the same endurance Kilty has.

Fourth heat - Su in 6.64 (RT 0.217); Robertson third qualifier in 6.66 (RT 0.111 - quicker than Kilty, which is saying something)

Nice start from Andy. Shame he couldn't be bothered with the whole dipping thing.

Could this be Asafa Powell's first global title?

Williams won't be doing the individual shot put anytime soon. That could have been tragic.

That was very nice to watch. Gliding down the track.

Shame he will crash and burn in the final. Y'know it's true.

Judging by everyone's reaction out there... "No big deal. Run it off, you wuss."

Sri Lankan names make for perfect tongue twisters.

Seventh final - Bracy in 6.57 (RT 0.123)

God damn, that Mokhnyuk has quite the foghorn...with that 15.01m PB, she now leads the standings.

I see Richard Kilty deleted his tweet insinuating Asafa Powell is on drugs with a quickness! Shame his brain doesn't work as fast as his fingers and legs.

And Sean Safo-Antwi finds out the hard way that it's no good signing up for your paternal country if they won't stump up the airfare.
He's training in Arizona at the moment so airfare considerably less than from London

Congrats to Christina Francisco and the Afghan - big championship performers! As Phil Jones has told many a distraught British athlete, you can't ask for anything more than setting a PB at the Worlds.

Peter Matthews bottled it with the Sri Lankan ... "Let's call him Eashan"

Barbara Nwaba & Shelley Ann Fraser-Pryce ... Separated at birth?

And how many people saw that tweet before he deleted it. Boy never learns.

I still wouldn't be surprised to see Powell bottle it in some way come the final.

Powell never bottles it.

Ever.

Unlike that serial choker Bolt.

Powell's run was quite something considering he didn't run through the line. I do agree with Tiger Rose though - feel he'll mess it up somehow. Maybe wrong though.

I quite enjoyed the world feed commentary. Not heard Peter Matthews for ages. Assume the regulars will be back for the rest of it.

That was my last live action. Have to record the rest and play catch-up. Bloody work getting in the way.

Extraordinary wasn't it! I have watched athletics for years and never seen that before. Mind you they had photographers too close to the long jump as well.

Women's 60mH getting underway.

First heat - Rollins in 7.82 (RT 0.153); Solomon third in 8.04 (needs to be a top-2 fastest loser to make final)

Lake on 3681 with the 800m to come.

Her 800m PB is 2:18.53. For the WJR, I think she needs 2:17.73 or quicker.

First men's 60m semi - Dasaolu DQ'd (false start); won by Bromell in 6.53 (RT 0.122); Gittens second with 6.53 NR

Pen leader is still Mokhnyuk with 4066 - more than 100 points ahead of compatriot Fodorova and BTE. Looks like the Canadian will have to wait some time longer for her first global title.

Second semi - Collins in 6.49 SB (RT 0.130)

Interesting analysis of Dasaolu's foot placement (on the blocks) by Toni Minichiello.
