Women's 400m final won by Oluwakemi Adekoya in a 51.45 AR! Expected neither the winner nor the slow time.

Smart race by Hassan to win the women's 1,500m (4:04.96) - once Duncan was caught, she controlled the pace and kept all at bay in the sprint.

Only two others cleared 2.33m, so Grabarz is guaranteed a medal!
It's silver, as Gianmarco 'Halfbeard' Tamberi cleared 2.36m at the first time of asking and Erik Kynard narrowly failed it on the third attempt. ----- UKA say DAS had a 'minor' hamstring reaction and pulled out as a precaution. |

With one day to go, the host nation has a tally of 8G 4S 3B. No other nation (as yet) boasts multiple world indoor champions.

Another great session. Thought Berian would come unstuck in the 800 but he held on which was great to see, poor Curtis Beach after a similar eyeballs out run over 1000m just missed out on a bronze medal. Another fantastic Shot competition, hopefully the BBC now realise that field events can be exciting to watch.
Really thought Schippers was going to run under 7 seconds but didn't happen for her with Pierre taking the gold. So pleased for Robbie, coming back so well from injury. I think he'll be there or thereabouts when the medals are handed out in Rio. Baker was close at 2.33 and I see him jumping mid 2.30s in the summer. I do like half beard though. Fingers crossed the Barshim & Dasher injuries aren't serious |

Impressed by Robbie's silver. I thought he was flash in the pan back in 2012, perhaps he might be heading back in the right direction now... perhaps.
Berian's run in the 800 was gutsy, and it seemed to be the way to go about things this weekened. I was also amazed to see Hassan smile at one point after her win. The shot putt was pretty good too, though perhaps that more to do with Val Adams not stomping all over the excitement for a change. As for the 60... If only Daf could haul herself out of the blocks a bit better. Still, this indoor stuff is just to tide us over, outdoors is where it matters. |

Looked to me like none of the three women's 60m medallists started as well as they could have. Congrats to Pierre for holding onto the win, and Schippers for getting 2nd. Thompson, who is already a phenomenal sprinter, is growing more and more dangerous. Good run from her for 3rd.

The athlete, or his facial style? Much as I liked his performance, I'd rather not see the style catch on.

Gemili will be 26 in Tokyo & sprinters tend to peak in their mid-late 20s so he should really be at his peak during the next Olympic cycle. I do think he & Zharnel Hughes represent the best chance for a British individual sprint medal in Rio. Dina has a chance too but the women's 200 is going to be so loaded that it will be tough. With the obvious exception of Bolt I don't think there is anyone else capable of running crazy times on the men's side. I wonder if Van Niekerk may run the 200 as well - the timetable is much better for the men compared to that which Alyson Felix will be attempting
I think Gemili can definitely run 19.8 or maybe a bit quicker. His 19.98 when he won the European title was into a strong headwind on a cold wet night. If it wasn't for the pesky hamstring on that quick Beijing track I think he would have run circa 19.8 there and won bronze. |

The men's 60mH semis suggests the main contenders will be the two Frenchmen, McLeod and Eaton (not the decathlete).
----- Men's 3,000m final about to start - will Choge finally win a global title tonight? Not if Ndiku et al can help it. |

Yomif Kejelcha takes it! Ryan Hill pipped Augustine Choge for the silver medal.
Perhaps Ndiku won't be the greatest threat to Mo in the Olympic 5,000m... |

She could only manage 1.89m tonight.
Women's 3,000m - surely Dibaba FTW... |
