Thanks for the update. In future, it might be worth using the spoiler tag for long posts like that.

Apologies, I didn't think of that. Don't know why as I have used spoiler tags a lot on this forum before

Think it's worth maintaining the list though so we know who can secure selection when we're watching the trials!

A win in Prague & another Olympic QT from Jack Green in 49.18. Barbara Spotokova seems to be getting back to form. Never heard of that guy who won the 1500

The Prague meeting had a rather provincial feel to it, but it scratched the athletics itch until Oslo. Nice that Eurosport showed it.

That was a spirited run from Jack in the 400h. He ran one of those last 100 metres that had me saying "Go on!"

I'm guessing an Algerian or Moroccan running under a Bahraini flag of convenience. Duane Chambers out there desperately hoping some of Kim Collins' lightning is going to strike. No sign of it. He looked pretty slim, though. Quite impressed with Jack Green, he was obviously working on an Olympic dress rehearsal this weekend.

In other news, we now have 4 men in the 100mH with Olympic Qualifying times! Results from Bellinzona show legal times of 13.39 for Lawrence Clarke, 13.40 for David King and 13.42 for Will Sharman! Wind was 0.1 so not really much influence in the results anyway!

Also in Bellinzona, Jazmin Sawyers 6.62m season opener. Another one like DAS who's being doing her uni exams.

I think Crammy & Cotter are brilliant & am also a fan of Mike Costello on 5 Live. I really don't like Tim Hutchings or Martin Gillingham on Eurosport though.
Andrew Cotter certainly was not brilliant when he wrote off David Rudisha!

Just re-watched the relevant clip on i-player as I didn't remember him saying anything contentious at the time. He said ha had a "nagging suspicion that we'll never see Rudisha flying again like he did in London". That's not writing him off, just saying that he doesn't quite have the form of old. I'd agree with him, he is still good enough to win big races as in Beijing last year but I don't see him breaking world records or getting close to them again.

Ok, the game's up! Margaret Wambui goes #3 on the 2016 list with a 1:57.52 in Montreuil.

Surely, the IAAF can make a compelling argument to CAS out of 1. Semenya, 2. Niyonsaba, 3. Wambui.

Anyone else think that bar Mo, we'll get very few athletics medals in Rio?

I was saying the same thing on Sunday afternoon, actually. We - that is, the very lavishly funded UK Athletics organisation - don't seem to have brought many new people through in the last four years. KJT, if she gets her head sorted out, Eilidh Doyle looks decent, women's sprint squad is good, but still a bit young against a very strong global generation, middle and long distance women are better than 95% of the rest of the world, but not going to do anything against the Africans and ex-Africans, perhaps a couple of throwers if they get lucky...

She's won a couple of global medals on American soil - world junior gold in Eugene 2014, then world indoor bronze in Portland 2016.

Jimmy Vicaut ran 9.86 last night at a meeting in Montreuil, France. He now sits top of the world rankings. Would love him to win a medal in Rio

Media is getting louder, i can't imagine what they'll be saying closer to the Olympics. From the comments it appears there is some confusion.

Rio gold but she's running in an ethical minefield http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/art....html#comments

All of them have doubts over their "gender"?

Well, doubts that they're "all woman". Semenya's case is, of course, well-documented but there's been chatter for a while now (I think without it being officially confirmed) that FN & MW are also hyper-androgenic/intersex. Their bursts to form - FN suddenly running fast again after the CAS ruling towards the back end of last year & MW running 1:57 after not breaking 2:00 prior to this year - would certainly fit in with the timing of the CAS ruling.

And for those who follow para athletics, the European Championships start on Friday in Italy and all 32 hours of competition will be streamed live by the IPC.

Apparantly a record 28 Brits have qualified for these NCAA finals - I worked out about 15 when I perused the start lists. Most of the interest from the Brits will be in Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake, Ciny Ofili & Nick Miller.

Is there no coverage on C4/More 4? Pretty poor show in Paralympic year if so.
