Horrendous conditions in Geneva, but Seren Bundy Davies has just run a PB of 51.26.
PSD was a long way back sadly. A no show from Matt Hudson-Smith, hope it's just a precaution and nothing serious. |

So have you any insight into why it wasn't the usual sell out? I can't imagine a bit of cold and damp would have put off those who'd bought tickets in advance, are the 'walk up' spectator numbers usually high?
And the general line-up wasn't too impressive. Also the weather scared a few people off. It's quite annoying. It was back to amazing last night

Murielle Ahouré just ran 10.78 (+1.6) WL at a meet in Florida!
VCB 2nd in 10.83. Rest of the field way back. Well, that's one hell of a surprise. Wasn't expecting a 10.7 this early. |

That performance by Ahouré also shaves a hundredth off Okagbare-Ighoteguonor's African record! (Yes, I had to look that up.)
Here's a summary of the TNT Express CE meet in Kladno. See who's produced a WJL in the heptathlon... |

Well well, turns out Ross Millington's victory in last month's 10,000m OT wasn't for nothing - he's just lowered his PB to 27:55.06 in Leiden!

Some more good televised/streamed athletics before Stockholm ...
Tue 14 June 6.15-9.00pm Spitzen Leichtathletik (Luzern) on Eurosport 2 Wed 15 June 5.45-7.15pm Meeting Stanislas (Nancy) on Canal+ Sport if you have a source. Recorded from the day before - glad it doesn't clash with Luzern because Nancy is always a really good meeting too |

Racers Grand Prix from Jamaica on Eurosport at 7:30am (not live). Good clashes: Van Niekerk vs Merritt in the 300m, Bolt vs Blake vs Powell vs Bailey-Cole in the 100m. Doesn't Bolt hold the 300m world best? His own track club hosting an event in which a record of his could realistically be broken by someone else - interesting!

Michael Johnson is still the fastest ever over 300m - 30.85A in Pretoria during his final season.
There's a world lead in the NCAA women's 400mH - WCh silver medallist Shamier Little defended her title with a 53.51 PB. |

Some very encouraging performances from Jess this weekend at the Northern Champs. She threw 14.02 for the Shot & 45.02 for the Javelin, further than she threw last year. She matched her 200 best from last year of 23.42 & ran 13.10 for hurdles. Bearing in mind that the Manchester weather was well very Manchester like she can produce more in favourable conditions. Looking forward to seeing her doing a Hep in 2 weeks time

I love these kinds of Olympic stories - this one is about British 5-time Olympian race walker Chris Maddocks.

Eurosport 2 are showing the meeting from Lucerne tonight from 6-15-9. Quite a few Brits there including the return to action of Dai Greene. Would really like to see him get back to some decent form, he sure deserves a break.

Just in time for Richard Kilty! And not too bad by his standards, did not fade at 60m as usual.

Lucy Hatton wins her B Race, but is still too slow and she knows it.
I wonder when Europe's weather will stop being crap? |

Good win for His Grace the Marquis of Clarke. And an improvement for Will Sharman i.e. not last.
Lynsey Sharp a class above this kind of field at the moment. |

Lynsey won that the way she wanted. Got to the front of the pack, slammed on the brakes (like she seems to try and do quite often) and then took off with 150 ish to go.

Another lousy race from Jodie in the 200m. I'm not sure where her year is going.
At least Desiree kept fighting to the end. |

Mrs. Doyle looking rather lacking again in the last 100m. Maybe she needs to temper her first 200m a touch.

Day Greene now has lots of tattoos, so his time off hasn't been completely wasted.
Decent run in the end, hope it isn't coming too late for him. |
