What's up with Adelle Tracey? Out in the Trials heats and last in her heat here. Can't break 2:04 at the moment, it seems.

Adelle Tracey. Bright hope there...

Allison Leonard manages to get through after getting herself trapped about 3 times.
That was textbook Team GB middle distance positioning. Takes a lot of coaching to get in to those situations.

Jenny Meadows dominates 5-person heat. Shouldn't mock. Lorraine Uden 6.33 in first LJ attempt, 6.60 is guaranteed Q. Looks like the wind is tricky, lots of people having trouble getting jumps in.

IIRC, he did the global feed at London 2012
I'd forgotten about that - been a little while since I've watched the official clips on YouTube.
with Peter Matthews and the (frankly dreadful) John Trower.
No idea who the latter is, but he couldn't have been worse than whoever did Eurovision commentary for the 2013 EU23Ch. God, that guy couldn't correctly pronounce any foreign name worth a damn.

Jaz Sawyers gets a mark at 6.48 in the LJ, will probably be enough.

No such problems for Ivana Španović - first jump 6.90m (+1.7m/s).

First 1,000m in 3:06.79. That pace (31:07-ish) probably won't be maintained.

Martin Gillingham says "leading group" - it's the only group, and it sure as hell isn't leading the race.

Can through 4,000m in 12:24.22.

No surprise that Can has a sizeable lead. She's on 31 minute pace after 3k.

Jay Sawyers improves to 6.49, is 5th or 6th overall, so surely through. Lorraine Ugen is in the last chance saloon at 6.33 and NM.

John Trower - former Javelin thrower and Javelin coach but he was awful commentating on all the field events, even on his own event. And funnily enough, his pronunciation was also pretty bad but, yeah, not quite as bad as Dave Hooper (?)

15:30 for Can through halfway and pulling the rest to possibly fast times - through 5k in about 15:45.

Seem to remember Paula Radcliffe lapping the entire field except one when she won.

Rachel Wallader 16.86 in the Shot, Q is 17.30.

21:47.11 at 7,000m, so the pace is beginning to tail off.

Daunay balked Felix there when she was being lapped.

Sawyers through, Ugen out in the LJ.

I thought it would be a race for the youngsters but some of the old-timers proved there's life left in their legs yet.

Jo 31:34 in 5th; Jess a 20 sec PB with 31:38 in 7th. Well done, ladies!

Jess jumping to #8 on the UK all-time list.

It's got to be Pavey over Avery for Rio now? Avery's best is 31:44.

BTW, that time by Pavey betters the ratified age 40-44 world best of 31:40.97 by Alla Zhilyayeva! It's also her best performance since that ratified age 35-39 world best in London 2012.

Unofficially, Edith Masai remains the fastest ever in those age groups.

Rachel Wallader finished Shot on 16:86, I estimate currently in 12th place, so having on anxiously with a few putts still to come.

Think she has scraped it....

I was quite surprised to see Jo cross the line in 5th, I thought she'd been left for dead. Good work by the old girl.

I assume that time might persuade the meanies in charge of GB selection to give her a Rio spot?

Michael Rimmer isn't on the 800m startlists for tomorrow so he must've pulled out.
