It's fast - Inglese & Haydar through 5k in 16:26 (about 69 min pace). Steel five seconds back in a group of 4 or 5. Purdue & Partridge 12th & 13th, Aly Dixon 19th.

Men's race about to start.

Looks like it's between GBR and Portugal for the team race, is it 4 counters?

Mike Kigen Kaan Kigen Ozbilen is pushing the early pace. Calum Hawkins up near the front.

Moreira has joined Inglese & Haydar at the front of the women's race.

I read that it's 3 counters, in which case Portugal have the women's race sewn up barring accidents.

14:19 thru 5k for the men - about 60:30 to 61:00 pace. It's an all-African top 3.

Moreira & Inglese have dropped Haydar.

Meucci has joined the front 3 in the men's. Hawkins going well in a group about 6th, not that far back.

Castillejo has latched on to the front group. Hawkins now 12th. He went through 10k in 29:40.

Moreira pulling away a little from Inglese with 5k or so to go. 15k in 49:50 (16:44 split). Steel a minute down.

Don't know if this has been posted yet. Darya Klishina cleared to compete in Rio.

Competing as a neutral athlete along with Stepanova, that's not going to go down well in Moscow. I bet she'll be submitting an asylum claim in the very near future.

Ozbilen & Abraham are away in the men's.

Augusto possibly catching Inglese for silver in women's?
Edit: No, I don't think so.

1. Moreira 70:19
2. Inglese 70:35
3. Augusto 70:55
...
10 Steel 72:19
13 Dixon 72:47
Then a long way until our next counter - Lily Partridge 53rd, Tina Muir 59th. Charlotte Purdue looks like a DNF (not through 20k yet and more than 24 mins since she passed 15k.)

Impressed by Veronica Inglese (the silver medallist). Two PBs for her this week. Just 25 yo, seems like one to watch in future.

Men's:
1. Abraham (SUI) 1:02:03
2. Ozbilen (TUR) 1:02:27
3. Meucci (ITA) 1:02:38
...
9 Hawkins 1:03:57 - made up some places in the last 5k. The 4th or 5th 'proper' European? Pretty decent.

Next Brit, Matthew Bond, 42nd in 1:07:00.
Jonny Hay had a shocker - 77th in 1:10:08, just 11 seconds faster than Sara Moreira.

Swiss bloke going the extra mile of the sponsor, there. Perhaps a subtle insult directed at bland, waxy Dutch cheese.

Yeah, it was 3 counters for the Team Cup.

Women's:
1. Portugal
2. Italy
3. Turkey
...
7. GB & NI

Men's:
No official results yet but looks like Spain took the Gold by a significant margin. GB & NI: nowhere.

If she's a refugee she can stay at mine.

Trying to find out about 2018.

Berlin is hosting European Athletics, but cannot fnd info on if the IPC Europe has a 2018 event.
Notice that like the Commonwealth Games some Para Sports have been included in Amsterdam. Personally I think it would be great if events in the 2018 Champinships of Europe event included Para events throughout.

I think she prefers sunny Florida.

According to Shubenkov, he and all the other 60 or so Russians have been notified that they've had their applications to compete at Rio denied. Last chance is the CAS.

Tour de France zipping along quite nicely, so we might get an almost full session of the athletics.

Same here, there is action in Amsterdam that should be on the Player, but nothing for me either.
