Damn, Ennaoui has quite the kick. Not enough to beat Chepkwemoi, though...or is it?
Twell slashed 10 seconds off her PB for fifth place. It seems to be a Polish women's thing at the moment. In the top-notch races Jozwik usually sits back too and comes through very strong. |

Really good run from Steph Twell. Bit of bias in the commentary focusing on her instead of the five ahead of her
but it is good to see her back after her horrible injuries.

Did the BBC really just try to equate Chris Baker's leftfield high jump PB of 2.36m with theoretical global success? It was only one comp...

Hopefully Steph can break 15 again in the 5k this summer. She's a battler and it would be just reward.

Another stadium record - 4:01.40 for Sifan Hassan in the women's 1,500m.

Indoor PB for Alison Leonard, 4:10.77 just behind Hannah England. Both have the standard for Portland. Another 4:13 for Mary Cain - must have really crumbled on the last lap because she was ahead of Leonard & England at the bell. |

It's Genzebe's 3:56.47.
Markus Rehm now leading the men's long jump with 8.10m (SR again). |

Oops, Bascou may have gotten himself DQed from the M60mH final...no, it's just a warning.
Second time of asking - blimey, he stumbled after the last hurdle. That race was his for the taking. Xie wins it with a 7.63 SB. |

Markus Rehm
Whilst I support the idea of para olympic sport there is a clear issue here of Rehm jumping with ordinary athletes. His prosthetic leg looks as though it gives him an enormous amount of spring and therefore does not look fair to me. Thoughts?

M60m final - victory goes to Sean Safo-Antwi in 6.56. Collins has pulled something...
Kilty second in 6.57. |

Lavern Spencer and Alessia Trost share the win in the women's high jump at 1.93m; Pooley third on countback.
Oh, and apparently Morgan Lake also cleared 1.93m during her pentathlon today. |

No WR attempt for Mo today. Anyhow, Choge should make it a good race.

Yeah, his blade does flex quite significantly upon take-off, appearing to give him extra spring than a "normal" foot. My initial instincts say gives him an advantage.

I'm with you - I think this is the first time I've seen him jump and it's clear that the whole thing is a complete con. There is no way he can be competing fairly against athletes who risk injury every time they practise. I'm afraid that athletics is being ruined by political correctness - nobody dared to call out Diack as being corrupt because he was an African, and nobody dares call out this guy as a fake because they don't want to labelled anti-disabled..
I think most people feel as I do that if he took off from his natural foot then there wouldn't be an issue but any political correctness is a figment of your imagination. It's getting a bit of publicity but I don't see any public outcry that he should be competing in the Olympics. I have no issue with him competing at events like this though. And he's still clearly talented as a para athlete. |

Mo wins, crowd get their fill. Job done.
That was a good victory considering what Choge has done so far this season. |

Shame for Kim Collins after a great heat. Safo Antwi is having a great season though and the trials next week should be interesting with Dasaolu also competing there. Only 2 spots up for grabs and 3 into 2 doesn't go.
Crowd will go home happy after Mo winning at the end - and that was not a soft field. Wee girl looked so excited after she got Mo's flowers |
