Didn't think she'd make that, but after last year in Beijing I should know better.

Great stuff from the girls, just continue to keep the old demons at bay!
What a run from Jess! A nice Brucie bonus getting into the final, everything is all falling into place at the right time. |

Rio's 100 hurdles will be poorer without Kenny. Silky smooth... when she gets it right, of course.
Edit: Now time for a dreamy Johnson/Bolt interview. |

Quality performance from GB in the relay, British record. FWIW 41.81 would have been good enough for bronze at London 2012.
The way things are going, a squad might break 42 seconds in Rio and fail to make the podium (likely one of GBR/GER/NED). |

The 'super fast track' definitely living up to it's billing so far, World Leads all over the place.

Nice, a 49.55 WL/PB for Shaunae Miller.
TBO the best of the Brits with a 51.05 SB. Was hoping one or two of them (SBD) could go sub-51. |

This is a fast surface. Dodgy lanes aside, our mob were left for dead, which will provide them with food for thought.

Christine is heading in the right direction but I think it's too much work to make up in Rio. Think she's vindicated her selection though.

A number of empty seats.
Maybe more filled up,tomorrow. Hopefully next year IPC and IAAF Championships get good attendances. Also that we can get more Athletics again, not just Anniversary Games. European Championships. Commonwealths. |

Yes poor times for that first 100m heat. Everyone was flat out in good conditions.

More a case of others (Onuora) justifying their non selection.

It's not 'you never know' with Vicaut. You do know, if it's a regular race he'll be fast, if it's a major champs final he'll bottle it.

I thought he'd injured himself rather nastily in one of the earlier Diamond League meetings. Still, glad he's still rocking.

Amazing exclusive insights from Colin here. You get the feeling that have invested in a £50,000 bit of kit (on wheels!), which they are going to use precisely twice this year, the BBC are obliged to use it whether it's needed or not.

They want to be like Sky's MNF with Neville and Carra using the touchscreen but the way the BBC use it you're getting nothing out of having a touchscreen, Jackson did nothing you couldn't have done by talking over a normal VT.

Well, that didn't quite live up to the build-up, did it?

She looked like a horse in showjumping that didn't fancy a jump on that last hurdle.
