Just like in 2012...I won't be forgetting that hep 100mH for a long time.

That's what a super-fast track does for you! Thankfully they didn't repeat what their junior counterparts did earlier today.

The way things are going, a squad might break 42 seconds in Rio and fail to make the podium (likely one of GBR/GER/NED).
Shame the Dutch dropped their baton. They've got an excellent team too.

Urgh. The crowd's groan echoed my own.

I think Rio was flashing in Mrs Doyle's mind when she juddered in to the last hurdle. In a Olympic final you'd hope she would YOLO it.

About time KJT jumped 1.95m (PB) outdoors.

Back in Bydgoszcz, Michael Norman Jr wins the men's 200m with a 20.17 (+1.2m/s) CR.

I don't think they've got anything to worry about.

Could there be a stadium record tonight? Currently 12.35 (-0.2m/s; also an OR) by Sally Pearson.

12.20 (+0.3m/s) WR!!!

WTF, what a time to have a massive clock malfunction. Embarrassing for London Stadium officials there.

Also WTF happened at those US trials that this girl couldn't make the team, best (clean) athletes should all be at the Olympics. It's letting down the fans.

To think she isn't going to the Olympics!

What happened in the American trials?

Kind of meant to be wasn't it, fluffed her lines when it mattered, not going to Rio, freedom to put her foot down and takes the WR!

This track must be quick

Is it the same track, when David Rudisha broke the world record

Even more embarrassing for the Americans to leave her at home instead of Rio.

Could have been even quicker if she hadn't looked behind for the rest of the field!

It's a brand new track. The original 2012 track was removed last year.

Bravo. I was urging her on down the straight and the time that flashed up did seem 'off'.

Good for her.

Damn, missed it live!! Had switched to the Munich news and got caught up in the chat and forgot to switch back! Was it you Ed who predicted she might get the record? Ridiculous that she's not going to Rio. I think I said before that anyone who has the world lead up to a deadline should be allowed in the Olympics/ world champs for that year.
