Three jockeys being investigated over rape allegations
http://www.sportinglife.com/racing/n...e-alleged-rape I was going to pick Powell's ride in the first at Kempton, trained by his father, as an EW punt in a racing competition..........but I'm not sure they'll turn up now..... |

Looks a good offer from Hills covering all of today's jump meetings
Place a bet on selected jumps meetings and if your horse wins by 5 or more lengths, you'll get a 25% bonus. Finish second beaten by 5 or more lengths and get money back as a free bet. It all starts this Friday, just in time for the top class racing at Cheltenham's three day Open Meeting. So if your horse romps home, or finishes behind a clear winner, we've got this jumps season covered. |

AP McCoy has apparently signed up for the ITV team
I suspect he had them over a barrel as the only jumps jockey that 95% of the population had ever heard of........but from what I've seen of him on the racing channels and heard on radio 5 he doesn't really come across as a natural talker..... |

He must have tremendous knowledge though so it may be worth persevering with him |

Apart from the April meeting, how many races at Aintree are over the National fences? Is it just the Beecher Chase or did the meeting last week have one?

according to wiki.......
"Four other races take place over the National fences. These are the Topham Chase (formerly known as the John Hughes Trophy Chase) and the Fox Hunters' Chase at the Grand National meeting, and the Grand Sefton Handicap Chase and Becher Chase in the November meeting" |

Sad about Sprinter Sacre but not overly surprising, it has been very difficult to get him sound for the last couple of years

One of the best in my NH watching days, pre his heart operation he was an absolute monster.
Getting him back near his pomp last season was some feat of training, least he gets to enjoy his retirement ![]() Wont see many championship races ever won better than this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQIOAhPkC2A |

Simonsig has just been put down after falling at the third fence. Dreadful day for Nicky Henderson and the team.
Simonsig didn't look good to me from the start, what little I know, but he faltered badly at the first fence. |

The day was rather spoiled by Simonsig breaking a leg, such a shame he was so plagued with injury as he was undoutedly top class. Good to see Sprinter fit and well and he certainly deserves his retirement, the best 2 mile chaser I've seen race.

Great run from Coneygree on his first run for over a year in heavy ground against the old favourite Cue Card to finish second. Cue Card was a class above the rest. Silvinaco Conti not the same horse as he was.

I'd fancy Coneygree to turn the tables on Cue card at Cheltenham in March.

They are likely to meet again in the King George and Coneygree won't have the disadvantage of it being his first run back after such a long lay off. I still think Cue Card on song is the best UK staying chaser at the mo but at 11 winning the Gold Cup would be a real feat.

Anybody watched the At The Races interview between Matt Chapman and Rich Ricci??
If you haven't prepare to cringe ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nt2D7pPQ8ug Ricci actually comes out of that with me having a far higher opinon of him tbf - if he is ever looking for a racing manager I doubt he would need to look much further than Chapman. |

I thought at the time it was the kind of interview worth watching again. MC switched between the sycophantic and serious interviewer which kept RR on his toes and, to be fair, didn't duck any of the difficult questions.
Much better than some of the fawning interviews you get where that's all they do. Just so as not to upset the guest. I agree with your view, RR came out of it well and, even though it had some cringeworthy moments, was great TV. |

Got a feeling that old Sire de Grugy might win the Tingle Creek......he loves Sandown and put up a great handicap performance last time
Un de Sceaux has failed to finish on his last 2 seasonal returns and Ar Mad returns from serious injury......they might not want to push him too hard. Plus those two front runners might take each other on God's Own has a chance but he often seems to find one too good |
