I think the 'angle' could be EW on Tea For Two at 16/1
Only 2 places but that's 40% of the field which is better than any other field size EW % of course you'd be scuppered if there was a NR I can see Cue Card winning but I do think there's a chance that Thistlecrack might fall or make jumping errors. With 3 usual front runners the pace could be hectic and these fences are stiff - you don't get away with jumping errors Tea for Two will probably be held up away from the fray and be ridden to come through late when the others are tiring. And he loves it at Kempton - 3 runs, 3 wins and he has the lovely Lizzie (She's So Posh) Kelly on board.............

Daryl Jacob you absolute plonker - just cost me a fortune and thrown away a Grade 1. Lucky he didn't get seriously injured there ...

Yes think he was rather ambitious there considering his position, giving the horse the stick and shaking it up when he was over 10 lengths up.

I would imagine all concerned must be absolutely seething at him. |

Got to say that was special. Thistlecrack pulling away from Cue Card round the bend like he was out for a workout not a grade 1 chase!
Also Daryl Jacob take note of how to take the last fence when 10 lengths clear at Kempton

Great win for Thistlecrack - he has some sort of engine and that was the best jumping round I have seen from a novice. If he jumps like that he wins ... pure and simple.
Not entirely sure that Cue Card run his race as he never really travelled the way he normally does and just held on for 2nd. Maybe he was taken out of his comfort zone and paid the price for going head to head with his stablemate from so far out. |

An outstanding performance from Thistlecrack which justifies not going for the novice chase which as he's 8 was the right call and will give plenty of trainers a bit of a fright for the Gold Cup. Not Jacob's finest hour at the last on Might Bite.
Douvan duly obliged giving Mullins/Walsh a three timer. |

Just watched the Channel 4 finale...nice memories but how in the world can they not mention (or show) the Mohammed Ali of the champion Hurdle (which just happens to hold the record for most Grade 1 wins) , or and this is worse, the Six time consecutive winner of the Mares Hurdle. Two of the best horses ever to grace Cheltenham and not even a nod.
Dissapointed

Is it possible that Colin Tizzard could have three of the best horses in the Cheltenham Gold Cup with the likes of
Thistlecrack Cue Card And Native River |

Cue Card surely goes the Ryanair? I think Thistlcrack wins it, hard to knock him after his King George - Native River, I'll eat my hat if he wins it.

I suspect the studio based ITV4 shows (if that's what they are) might be more entertaining with fewer people butting in and less frenetic ........... |
