The only time I've heard of her is on this website. They were all over her a couple years back when her first album was out, and now their tripping over themselves for the buildup for #2, listing it as one of the top albums to look forward to this year. I listened to some stuff from the first album, and it really wasn't all that, and what little I've heard from the new single isn't any better. It's just dull, average and doesn't stand out. Clearly everyone else thinks the same, as the first album only reaches 73 in our album charts, and 45 in her native USA, with her only charting single getting to 64, and not at all over there. I predict that the second wave of hers will be equally bad.

It's not just Digital Soy she is a hipster blogger endorsed pop star in the same way as Annie and Robyn, every few years they decide on a pop star that is cool to like sometimes they get big but usually they don't which is what they prefer.

Anyway loved the first album especially 'You're Not The One' hopefully she will get more radio play this time as only Zane Lowe and Fearne supported her last time on Radio 1.

Chart positions have never really mattered; it seems like anything can get to #1 these days so long as it has strong airplay. Just because something hasn't charted highly doesn't make it bad; look at Massive Attack's Unfinished Sympathy, regularly listed as one of the best songs of all time and hugely acclaimed, yet only ever reached #13 in the singles chart.
