Kindle Fire/Amazon prime questions.

Hi,

First tablet I've ever had so forgive me if some of the questions are dumb,but..

Do i need to download any security package for browsing the web etc?

When i get a film/tv show from Prime, is it downloaded and kept in my device?...Can i then watch it anywhere, or do i need wifi access? Or is it stored in the cloud?..

If i want to watch something on my TV from my device, is it a simple case of plugging it in via the usb?

Thanks.

1) most people don't bother with any security products for Android, especially if you are only downloading apps from Amazon

2) There is a specific option to download for offline viewing which you should see. Otherwise it's online only.

3) No, you can't connect to the TV by USB. The best option would be a wireless option like Chromecast.

Some tablets have a separate hdmi port which allows you to connect tablet to tv directly,

Also some tvs now have built in miracasting capability ie tablet will talk to tv without and chromecast or miracast dongles.

I'm assuming the OP has a Kindle Fire 7.

Yeah of course.

Note: you cannot natively chromecast from a kindle fire 7 though without adding google playstore and chromecast etc. using methods I outlined in other posts.

Thanks for your replies.

Shame about not being able to watch movies on tv via the fire. Had thought that it would be a simple case of plugging it in with either the usb or even getting an hdmi adaptor.
Cheers
