Thanks for that! There are quite a few examples I notice.

Whoops, I've just noticed, I said they were originally clapping on the wrong beats, 1 and 4, when I should have said 1 and 3.

The correct "off beats," which he tricked them into clapping. are as I said, 2 and 4.

It's been broken for years in my opinion, and I really don't care about the viewing figures, I based my list on what I think the show needs to do to be better - all my opinion.

And I'd never have suggested any of the changes they made to the X Factor - I gave up on that years ago!

Yes please!

A fairer split of dance trained celebs compared to none trained would be a good place to start. When you know who is going to win after week one, then that is a serious problem that needs to be addressed.

There is absolutely no need for backing dancers.

The major props, especially the celebs coming down from the ceiling are complete nonsense.

I wanna see pro's sticking up for their dance partners much more than they have been, especially after this series where the judges appeared to be judging on choreography over the dancing ability of the celeb.

The dance off is a waste of time, get rid of it and bring back viewers vote deciding who is out.

Stop using props in dances and get rid of the themed weeks.

Bit disappointing to see some contestants go out so soon. Might like to see some way of keeping people in for longer, maybe less celebs and a minimum of fours dances before anyone leaves or perhaps a league system for ten weeks and then have quarter finals, semis and final, but if you do that the show might lose it's edge - no easy answers.

I think some celebs sign up actually knowing they are only there for a couple of weeks - and that is absolutely grand with them. They get all the promo, all the sparkle dust of being a Strictly contestant and a few weeks work for a nice fee ... the older 'big' names especially. They lend their kudos for a couple of dance lessons

4. Let the pros pick the music they want for the dances.

5. Out with the silly VTs and show proper training instead.

6. Finals:
No Judges choice, let each contestant choose one Ballroom and one Latin.
Only the final 3 get to do the Showdance, which should be their last dance, as before.”

I agree with all your points except the last. I like to see everyone's showdance..

I would also not start the vote until EVERYONE has danced. I know we vote for our favourites but let's at least try and base it on what they dance in the final. This year we were voting before some of the contestants had stepped on the dance floor. It was a farce. They might as well not have bothered.

This has happened before. Those who dance first have an advantage. On those occasions, viewers have a progressively decreasing "window" for voting. Some viewers have complained in the past that they had difficulty voting as the time decreased.

Four judges qualified and instructed to judge on quality of dance ability from day one to final

Cut the training crap and let's witness actual training

Insistance on full content of dance performance minus clappy clappy nonsense

Allow phone in judgement of popularity
