Hardly pious in the main, it's the arrogance of people thinking they can tell lies to make themselves look above board and that all will be forgotten when they 'come out', seemingly works with a few too.

These would be the trash newspapers they probably courted to get some publicity when they needed/wanted it.
I think the only arrogance in this situation belongs to the people who believe they know everything about a situation based on rag papers. I'm sure the same people have dismissed articles from similar sources as "ridiculous" but are happy to buy into it if it suits their views.

Can't believe what I'm reading on here. Well I can as it is just the same old / same old fan wars that made the forum so awful during the series. Lets get this right a young women who has been seeing a guy for 6 months decides it is not working and moves on to another guy. Shock horror. Seriously some folks need to look at themselves if they think this is a major issue. They were both on a dancing show and did well.. They did not attempt to use a romance real or fake or whatever to get votes. If they'd done that I can see that folks might have an issue but they didn't so it is just life. Good luck to them whether it be a few weeks or months or a lifetime.

I was born in Walsall. Or Warsaw as we call it
Haven't lived there for some time though.
derv, I love the Black Country folk...you know yourself, what you see is what you get. I'm a massive West Brom fan as well, so live not too far from the Hawthorns

I wondered tbh if Gio was gay, as they made such a good job of hiding their intimacy...if it turns out to be founded

Why is not flaunting intimacy seen as hiding it these days?. Do folks seriously watch SCD to become vicariously involved in the couples partnerships and / or relationships. If so it is becoming little more than BB with the romances to get votes.

If that was the case that Sean ended up pushing Georgia away because he was jealous then you can't really blame Georgia for ending up in Giovanni's arms. What is more appealing a bf who you've been seeing for 7 months arguing with you, getting jealous, upsetting you or your hot Italian dance partner who your having a laugh with.

Like the saying goes "Don't ever let your gf talk to another guy about her problems; a shoulder to cry on, becomes a dick to ride on"
Bahahahahahahahahahahahaha That is my new favourite saying EVER!

Beautiful words there BG, I'm almost misty eyed.

Beautiful sentiments .
I might embroider that on a wee cushion . Beats "Home is where the heart is"
Good luck to them all , especially sean and I hope all concerned move quietly along and resist going tacky tabloid with 'my side of the story' .

I highly doubt this thread would read the same if it had been one of the male celebrities had dumped his partner after the final only to shack up with his dance partner a few weeks later...

As a Villa fan we have had our great times and not so good. But we've been in the TOP division for the past 40 years (apart from one season in 1986....) so maybe we don't need all that much sympathy..real or otherwise.

He means the bloke would get an easy time of it, presumably. If not then he is a bloody clever clogs and I don't get it either...
Didn't that bloke who went out with kristina do that? hardly got a 'plus' rating either, did he??

If a guy had done it, it would have been the worst thing to happen and he would have been called all of the names under the sun for leaving their girlfriend for their dance partner.

Actually it'll be the dance partner that go the blame. Which is what happened with Kristina. Even Ben's wife is running her mouth about Kristina instead of, you know, her husband.

Georgia has been called all the names under the sun though? Either way, whether they are man or woman it is uncalled for when people neither know them or the facts of the situation!

Georgia has been subjected to a wave of vitriol on other social media - surprisingly, this forum has been a hub of rationality in this circumstance.

And those comments would be just as misguided and ill-informed as the judgemental ones about Georgia and Giovanni are.

Besides which, given that the world and the history of the human race has been setup in a way which significantly favours men over women (and still is), a few minor double standards regarding gender relations is the very least that we should have to put up with. We live in a deeply misogynist society, with many people holding deeply misogynist opinions, and most of the media pushing deeply misogynist agendas. Really, as men, we have little or nothing to complain about.

Really? Its a bit weird to call someone the love of your life if its just a casual thing and you consider yourself single. So does a relationship mean nothing unless you're engaged? If two people get married after being together for a couple of months does that mean more than a couple who have been together a year but not married?
I would say yes. You have not promised to marry someone you're just dating them. I believe it's a big difference. The minute you commit to marry someone or marry them that is obviously much more of a commitment than dating! I thought that was a fact?? I know that some people pretend otherwise. If children were involved in my mind tha would be different whether married or not. The boy won't be heart broken for long I'm sure.

She was only going out with the bloke for 5 months. Not engaged or married. We call that single. Free to do what she likes. Not like Pasha or Kristina they broke up marriages!
That's not what the word single means anymore and it hasn't for many years. If someone asks you if you are single, they aren't asking if you are married are they? They mean are you dating anyone at the moment.

She is perfectly entitled to date whoever she likes. She was only dating her ex for a few months before starting Strictly, which counts as "single" in my book. Since when was a fledgling relationship grounds for long-term commitment?

I agree totally. You're not enslaved by someone you can date whoever you choose if someone that you fancy are more interested in comes along
