It's not that difficult to avoid being papped. Just takes common sense. So many (extremely) famous people are complete enigmas because they're hardly ever photographed outside of work. They all say the same thing ... if you want to keep your private life private .. you can.
I think G&G are enjoying the limelight ... though being papped smoking/eating is not exactly edifying. I imagine, when the tour finishes, they'll do a feature in OK or something ... you can see it coming. Possibly theyll be 'moving in' or 'getting engaged'. Shades of Kym Marsh et al. Every detail of their lives exploited for the sake of column inches. I hope she concentrates instead on securing that job in the West End etc. It's all too easy these days to get sucked into the kind of celebrity life where you're just famous for being famous etc. It's tiresome for us and I can't imagine it's that rewarding (other than financially) for them. You are aware that the majority of photos that we've seen so far have been them leaving the hotel (where paps are based) and heading out to training? You are aware that if you scroll down the page further in most of them youll see the exact same photos of Jay, Aliona, Karen et al? Are you suggesting Georgia and Giovanni should put bags over their heads as they walk to training? Are you suggesting Jay and Aliona do the same, or should we just focus our attention on G &G because a daily mail editor decides to put their photo up as the lead one? The couple of other photos have been them going for a coffee and another in Sainsburys (where they went in after them and shot photos of them in the aisle). Again I'm wondering what you'd suggest? A quick dash to hide behind the toilet rolls? Fake beard and glasses? Refuse to go out for a coffee? Why should they alter their lives like this? So that the fail don't get any photos and thus prevent random strangers on-line having a pop at them? I would suggest not. Your 2nd Paragraph: Dance and acting work is not regular. If OK or Hello offer them a good amount of money for a quick interview and they take it, fair enough. I doubt the interview will be dramatic enough to entice Giovanni to abandon his 15+ years as a dancer and the opportunities it brings in order to spend his lifetime doing OK interviews. I don't think its his lifes ambition to be honest. Same goes for Georgia. But if speculating on that possiblity gives you comfort, go for it!!!! I don't like OK magazines myself, but theres an easy solution - don't buy it. I don't. Simples. 3rd Paragraph As someone who seems only to comment on Georgia in a negative and judgemental way, I got the impression you weren't too keen on her? So it does surprise me that you're concerned about her future career and happiness. I'll take your word for it though and try and reassure you that your 'hopes' for her may come to pass ![]() In terms of work ethic, shes been acting since she was nine (in work). She did several years on Grange Hill before Coronation Street and has appeared in small roles in many other shows. The level of quality in her dance and performance that she managed to achieve on SCD as well as her consistency and improvement showed that her levels of drive, determination and hard work are not really lacking. As for future prospects, shes appeared on a breakfast show since SCD saying that she has had several people of interest contact her regarding stage shows, that it looked promising and it was definitely something she was wanting to take up in the future. In the meantime, two casting directors have taken the time to contact her, thanking her for coming along and tweeting that they would be seeing her soon (with wink and camera icon after the tweet) . Not sure what glorious projects the other SCD celebs have got on the go, but I'd say Ms Foote isn't doing too shabbily. No need to worry. And if all else fails, she is completely unemployable and can only get on to Womans Own to earn a crust, just think of the opportunities there'll be to come on here to judge/criticise or slag her off! You don't seem to mind this, so lets call it a Win-win situation! |

I may not always agree with your points of view but you've always struck me a very sensible poster who posts in a thoughtful and polite way as a rule). |

Well I apologise if you think it was too personal (it wasn't directed at you). It was more a reaction to the irony of posters going to the trouble of posting their 'concerns' about Georgias future prospects and 'hoping' for their success when the posts I've seen from said person in relation to Georgia have been nothing but negative in relation to her. One post a few weeks ago I chose to ignore even though the points used to attack Georgia on were completely ridiculous as I understand how pointless these arguements can become. Sometimes when it comes up again (and again you see the points used to criticise her as being completely ridiculous) especially made out in a tone that its because they're concerned about it, its hard to ignore. If someone is going out their way to post negativity (in my mind unjustifiably and when the points they make are simply not right imo) I presume their must be some level of satisfaction for them to spin it that way. But as I say, apologies if you think its out of order and too personal. I was irritated when I posted it!
Another very reasonable post! I guess if I am being fair that if I was a huge fan of Georgia's I would find the negative posts annoying as well. |

) of you to say! I don't see the need for it, personally speaking. I see no need to post negativity on here about the celebs I'm not that keen on, but its a free board and people can post what they like. When I see negativity on here in general, I try hard to ignore it to be honest - and have done on several occasions, especially recently. However, when you see points that are made (imo) for no other reason than to throw negativity on someone (when imo again they don't even make sense) sometimes I don't have the willpower to ignore and feel the need to clarify. But I concede I may well say the wrong thing because by the time I type, I'm irritated with it! Apologies again! |

See aggs' post above - puts it perfectly IMO.
Thinking people "just happen" to be papped whilst shopping in Sainsburys is a bit ridiculous! |

Well, apart from a hotel leaving shot ( with Jay et al) there's been nothing for a few days. Georgia must know how to disappear in the North West, funny that!

Yes, they must be worried - Giovanni posted a "someone just so happened to take a picture of us walking along with me planting a kiss on Georgia" photo on Instagram ...

Actually this picture was published in the Daily Mail several days ago. I thought you would have known that seeing as how you seem to spend so much time trawling through the internet for pictures of G&G that you can make sarcastic comments about. It's very easy to download pics from the Daily Mail and they can't very well object seeing as how they have used Giovanni and Georgia's Instagram pictures.

This is not an appreciation thread so people have a right to comment on a relationship which is very much being played out in the public eye.
I understand that the media have probably swarmed around them like flies around honey ... because of the Strictly curse nonsense but I still think they're enjoying their time in the limelight which .... given how it was 'offensive' only a few weeks ago to suggest they were in a relationship .. seems a bit insensitive especially to Sean and his family ... he seems to be keeping things more private and acting with more dignity but who knows ... he might still kiss and tell. Those that were lucky enough to find themselves in the same hotels as the Strictly crew did report that G&G were popping out every five mins or so ... I know they are smokers and that probably accounts for it but that looks like seeking attention rather than avoiding it. There's no need to be doing that. It's just my opinion on how things look and as I said before .. I don't expect people to share it or agree with it .. I don't claim it's the right opinion or the only one but I have as much right to express it as anyone else. |

To be honest, I'm not quite sure how it's come down to an either/or situation (as in G&G are not courting the publicity v are courting it). I think it's more a case of 6 of one half a dozen of the other, especially while the Strictly Tour is on going. It's a symbiotic, mutally beneficial arrangment.
If, when the Tour ends they are still posting photos knowing they are likely to be mined for the side bar of shame, or pictured having a coffee/having a holiday/loitering round the food and veg at the local supermarket it will be more telling. |

Of course you can express your opinion as much as you like (which usually amounts to attaching some sort of negative motive to everything she does or speculating negatively about a person she may become etc etc) just as others who disagree with what you say (especially if they feel your opinions or spin on things contradicts some known facts) can express themselves too. |

I didn't say it wasn't your opinion or you didn't have a right to express it - I only replied to the points you made - firstly about them getting papped and secondly at your suggestion that she may well end up like a pointless celebrity using that as her occupation. Both of these points and suggestions didn't make much sense to me, given that all the other celebs had most of the same photos (just not leading the story) and Georgias obvious work ethic and interest in acting/appearing in shows - never mind future prospects that shes already spoken of and is excited about and we've heard of elsewhere from castings done already.

But they seem to express themselves by attacking the poster who made the comment? Is it really so bad to express negativity towards a person who dumped the so say love of her life and then appears to go out of her way to flaunt the new love of her life in order to maximise publicity? As has been said before, a thread like this is open to all views. It's the appreciation threads where all the posters who haven't got a negative breathe in their bodies go to share the love isn't it?
But this use of 'attack' to cover anyone who tries to disagree with such 'opinions' and replies to 'opinions' with facts is getting a bit tedious! I can disagree with someones opinion and point out why I disagree with such opinions objectively by pointing out the reality of a situation, without me being dismissed as attacking. Its not a Georgia appreciation thread, but neither is it an appreciation thread for posters who want to be negative either! We're all entitled to be questioned on what we say, we're all entitled to disagree with what others say and give our reasons why - especially if some of the opinions and speculations are based on assumptions that don't tally with the actual reality. I'm allowed to point this out as much as people are allowed to give negative opinons on Georgia. |

I apologised already for what you said was 'attacking' ....which amounted to no more than making a sarcastic comment about why she'd be worrying about Georgias future since she didn't seem that keen on the girl anyway. Thats me being honest, all her posts are negative towards her so I'm wondering why shes concerned about her future health and happiness. If you take that as an attack, fair enough and since it wasn't necessary to the actual point I was trying to make and a bit cheeky (and in case said poster agreed with you) I already apologised for that - twice.

Good Lord... this thread is still going! I thought it would have died down by now. Perhaps when the Tour finishes there will be less mileage in what these two people are or are not doing. No doubt something else will be flavour of the month soon, or some other celeb will move on to another partner... and people can dissect them to their hearts content!
