Best X Factor winner
Who do you think the best ever X Factor winner is?
I still think Alex but her X Factor return ruined her in the end. |

It's leona Lewis and no one should argue otherwise, no other winner comes close to her, Alexandra Burke has changed far too much and has lost any appeal she once had

I agree its Leona, but there are plenty non-winners who have eclipsed her = 1D, Little Mix, Olly Murs to a certain extent (although I know he has not cracked the US market).

Alexandra Burke. She is the most all round performer. Leona is the second best but she was terribly overrated imo.

Alexandra for me. I think she's the best all-rounder: great singer and performer and I really enjoyed both her albums.
Leona has an amazing voice, but the material and the performance side lets her down. Little Mix are very good singers and dancers, but I'm not keen on their music and I find their image a bit childish. |

Leona's voice has deteriorated over the years due to Syco and Ryan Tedder wearing out, it's not even half the talent it once was.
I'm going to go with Little Mix. The chemistry that band have is almost tangible and the combination of that and their four voices make for a very successful act. I hope they all stay humble and have a long career as a unit rather than wanting to pursue solo projects |

Leona. It's not even close.
No other winner has come anywhere near the level of success Leona had. |

None of the winners were any good; same old same old.
Not one had an original bone in their body. The only decent original sounding singer to come from X Factor was Rebecca Ferguson. |

Leona Lewis.
People forget just how huge she was at one point, and just how great her voice is. Because it is still great, it's lost some of its glory but the girl can sing. And despite things slowing down for her, she's still 10 years into her career and signed to two major music labels releasing albums and touring the world. So fair play to her really. |

Little Mix.
I don't give a toss if other winners had better voices, that's not what The X Factor is really about, they are the best pop act to come from the show by some distance. |

Leona Lewis without doubt was the first X Factor winner I fully championed, and like others have said when Spirit was released in 2007 Leona became an unstoppable force.
I also have to mention Little Mix who I thought were brilliant when Wings was released, and the whole DNA era had some great singles. However, it's their third album Get Weird that has captivated me in terms of success. Little Mix's third album is easily going to be their most successful, whereas Leona's third album Glassheart sold a third of what Spirit sold in comparison. I like both artists but I do think Little Mix have become more successful than Leona at the same stage in their respective careers (i.e. Little Mix in 2015 compared to Leona Lewis in 2010) Black Magic or Trouble? I'd choose Black Magic every time. Trouble was alright but a bit of a damp squib for a lead single from Leona at the time. |

Alexandra. She has the full package. The voice, the stage prescience, dancing, everything. Many winners/acts from the show falter due to politics behind the scenes, and that's what happened with her. I won't post the whole long story, but she was shafted big time. She made the right decision to ditch Simon and Syco, even though she's not currently in the charts, they treated her like crap. She's currently doing amazingly well anyway...playing the lead in The Bodyguard and soon to be doing the same in Sister Act.

He didn't have as much success as some other winners but I am going to say Matt Cardle.
His career is still going well and he hasn't failed into obscurity, he had a successful run in the west end, two top 10 albums, plus one reaching #11 on the charts. Not to mention he has a fantastic voice. |

In terms of someone who was current, talented and had the potential to be huge success, then I would go with James Arthur. Problem was he screwed his own career with his big gob.
Look at the success of Sam Smith, John Newman and Ed Sheeran who are all in the same vein as James to see what could have been. |

She didn't win but Rebecca Ferguson has been my favourite X-factor related act..and I still wouldn't buy her album even from the pound shop. James Arthur/Alexandra were tolerable...until they won.

Leona was good and sales of Spirit were incredible but I think Little Mix have proved themselves to have the most long term success. On their third album now and still doing brilliantly, whereas no other X Factor winner has managed more than 2 successful albums.

Little Mix are the best act to come from XF. In fact they wouldn't exist without it as they were four individual contestants originally brought together to stay in the show.
Having shaken off the R&B sound that helped them on the programme with their latest album, Get Weird, they have embraced a broader based pop sound. They can actually get better. The other act I liked was Misha B from the same series, a real multi-talented artist who was let down by XF. |

I don't really have a 'favourite' winner as I didn't really like any of them. It's embarrasing how the majority of winners haven't really lasted a year before either being dropped or calling it a day and having a stab at a different industry (cough Shayne Ward)
However, it would seem that Leona Lewis has fared best over time since winning the competition. It shows integrity to keep at it for 10 years even if not at the forefront of popularity like she was in 2006/7. As for Syco the only real succesful winning act must be Little Mix? |

It is interesting to note that both Leona Lewis and Little Mix both have 3 UK number 1's and 12 top 75 singles..
