Sony M4 Aqua - Email issue
I’ve had a M4 Aqua for a couple of weeks now, and am generally very happy with the handset, but I’m having an issue with e-mails.
I’ve set these up to ‘sync’ every hour, so I can see new messages, and that works fine but it’s also pulling old messages in as well, 25 at a time. It started from December and has worked backwards from there, and we’re currently back to late October now. I delete them to the ‘Trash’ file, and then clear that out, so it’s not real issue but it’s d*mned annoying and I’m wondering how long it’s going to keep doing this and how far back it will go. I’m sure there’s a simple setting that I’ve missed somewhere so it only pulls in new unread messages. Can anyone point me in the right direction? |

What is your sync period set for? You usually have the option of 'Everything', 'Month', 'Week'?

In the 'Sync settings' I have check frequency down as 'Manual', as I got tried of it checking automatically every hour and bringing all the old messages in, and 'Days to sync' set to one day.

It's nothing to do with the settings for incoming mails, is it?
On the phone incoming messages are set up as coming from IMAP server, whereas on my table they're POP3. I checked the settings on the phone but there doesn't appear to be a POP3 option. |
