Number port EE to BT...

I got my BT SIM on the 28th of Dec.
I immediatly activated it and transfered my old number. I was told i'd have to wait til the 4th of January and no use my new contract.

Today comes and I get a text/email at 10am, saying the port is completed enjoy. I lose service on my old sim, pop my new one in and start using it.

Yet, It's still the old number? I thought they are meant to port before 6pm?

On a related note, BT parental controls have been pending all day. I WANT MY MUCKY WEBSITES!

Not sure what the problem is. Porting your number means transferring your number from one service provider to another. So if your old SIM has gone off and your new SIM has your old number then everything is okay.
