Copying Music
I am trying to copy some music from a music CD to my phone (Nokia Lumia) using the Windows Phone desktop app. This has copied/Synced successfully but when I try and play it on my phone it says unsupported file type.
Do I have to convert this from WMA to MP3 in order for it to play on my phone? I presume I do? |

When I did a "drag and drop" to my father-in-laws Windows phone it also said the file format was incompatible, but it asked me if I wanted to convert it (I'm guessing it did not give you this option)?
I was copying MP3's, but don't think I was using the standard type (was using 192k, 48 sampling rate and variable bit rate). |

I'd keep very quiet on this one, we're not allowed to talk about illegal activity here on DS. Blame the government for this. They can't get anything right!

Maybe when you're ripping the CD to windows, you've got the media player rip setting to allow copy protection? |
