Tesco mobile porting my old number
Today They ported my old sainburys number for me. However I can call out and text, but I cannot receive either. When I call myself on my mobile I get line busy but when I call from land-line it says phone switched off. Same happens when others try text did not arrive either. My Land-line shows the right number when I call it from my mobile.

apparently the process takes a long time to complete . I got in touch on live help. They advised giving it more time. However it is now working.

Yes my port to Tesco years ago took a while, however now a customer, moving to a new sin is really quick. I guess its the processes that they use.
I'm sure you will be very well looked after on TM as I like their UK customer service. |

Yes thanks for the reply. Just one snag the signal at home is not as good as I would have liked but better than EE was on my old mobile from way back. That appears to have us on the edge but O2 has us well covered on the maps. Vodafone was very good |

It may be that your sim needs some provision updates. Maybe contact Tesco Mobile if you know it should be better than that.
