Whoever came up with the beef campaign for Andrew Johnson has done an amazing job.
Considering this guy has over ever played about three times in America the reaction seems incredible |

Always does but we seem to beat the arse off of 'em most of the time.
Think the picks will be Kaymer, Westwood and McDowell |

I'm getting bored of the constant power involved in many men's games, so I too rather prefer watching slight women actually using skills to get around the course rather than just brutalise it. I think my fave golfer at the moment of any sex is Lydia Ko, shame she was awful today.
I don't mind power per se, but just feel in tennis, cricket and golf in particular, if you are just very physical you can hit great shots without actually getting it that close to the sweet spot, because the technology helps you so much. Wasn't the case before. The only downside to televised golf tournaments, is that tomorrow on my course, we'll be delayed by slow play. There's always a few numpties who having watched such tournaments on the telly, start acting like pro golfers, taking ages over shot selection. When if as they have, played their own course so many times, if it's on the fairway, by the time you reach your ball you should often enough, have the right club in your hand. I agreed with Alliss, marking a ball that's six inches from the hole is a bit pathetic. |

Jim Furyk reached the turn in 27 today and has just birdied the 10th at the Travelers Championship.
It's a par 70 so a very good chance that he could shoot the lowest round ever on the PGA Tour today. |

Even if he finishes with 6 pars it'll still be a 59.

Even missing a few putts down the stretch he still shoots 58.
The only person on the PGA Tour to ever shoot 58 and the only person to have ever broke 60 twice. |

Started the day down in 70th and is currently 5th after that round! Can't happen in any other sport but golf |

2nd win on the PGA Tour this season for Russell Knox. Should be a cert for the Ryder Cup now.

Knox must be in the Ryder Cup team now. no question. has stepped up trying to qualify when he was asked to. Well done Russell.
Also well done to Jim Furyk. amazing 58. he's far from over the hill yet. |

Also well done to Jim Furyk. amazing 58. he's far from over the hill yet. Clarke may still look after his old pals with his picks rather than those in form. Westwood and Kaymer will be two picks if they don't qualify automatically . Knox should be in ahead of McDowell who has no form whatsoever but you never know |

Agreed about Knox - he should be a certainty after winning a WGC event, PGA event and 3 runner up finishes this season Clarke would be bonkers not to pick him.
I love Knox's attitude when questioned earlier in the week about his busy schedule catching up with him he declared he was "a beast" and said he was living his dream playing professionally on the PGA tour so why should he be tired. Very refreshing attitude given the ever increasing pampered lifestyle the top golfers seem to live nowadays ... pop up and play a couple of events then take 2 or 3 weeks break. |
