Well done Matthew Fitzpatrick and unlucky Tyrell Hatton proving again it's very much a changing of the guard and the likes of poulter, Donald, Westwood , mcdowell have probably had their day now

Congrats to Charley Hull on her 1st LPGA tour victory - she won the Tour Championship by 2 shots after shooting a last round 66.

Does know why Jordan Spieth was the only well known American golfer to play in the Australian Open

Or none of them could be arsed doing a 12 (?) hour plane journey across the Pacific at the end of a long season....

Did anyone read about England's world cup team?

Danny Willett chose Lee Westwood as his partner. Westwood had already paid for his flights etc to Australia when Willett withdrew. Chris Wood got Willett's place but rather than keeping Westwood he decided to take Andy Sullivan instead

Bit harsh on Westwood imo.

Proven an ok decision so far although the Scotland decision is farcical with Russel Knox picking his mate Duncan Stewart who I have never heard of and I don't think is much above the level of club golfer.

Scotland are unsurprisingly bottom on +6

The return of Tiger today as he takes part in his own tournament.

He seems a bit different this time compared to his other comebacks, looks confident and has been talking his game up. Also seems a hell of a lot more chilled in the past few months.

Never been a fan and I can't see it happening but I would love to see him being able to compete at the top again.

Yes the commentators couldn't control their excitement when he went four under at the turn but as expected it couldn't last

JB Holmes at 33/1 for this I backed so looked good so far
