Well done Dustin. Thought it was going to be Whistling Straights all over again.
Considering that the incident occurred at the 5th hole, how did it take until the 12th tee before someone started to question it? What's more ridiculous to me is the fact that he did get the one shot penalty in the end as well. |

Another citing Zika, does anybody really believe that is the real reason they are pulling out?

I think adding Golf to the Olympics was a big mistake, it's pretty clear most of the big players just don't want to be bothered with it.
When Zika is properly established in Florida, which it is likely to be before the year is out, I wonder if those golfers including Rory who are resident there will up sticks and move? That'll be the true test. |

I don't think he ever wanted to represent Ireland or felt comfortable parading behind the tricolour and perhaps felt he had been pressurised into it.

I think if it was a case of maintaining neutrality he wouldn't have made himself available in the first place. He isn't the only high profile player to pull out, I suspect to them it's just another tournament clogging up the schedules.

Jason Day really threw this away by the looks of it. Double bogey 7 on the 16th and needs to birdie both of the closing two holes to force a playoff. Scott Piercy in the same position.
Otherwise it'll be back to back wins for Dustin Johnson! |

Anyone think Monty could do well at the Open? He played well in qualifying and Troon is his home course.
Is anyone going? |

The open is too dear going to Scottish open on friday though.
Think nicolaus coelsarts and Luke Donald will do well in the scottish open I'm working at the Open for a couple of days, have a media pass for the whole week so will probably pop in a few times as it's only 10 mins away. Would be a brave man to bet against DJ next week. |

I got a couple of comps through the door for the Scottish Open earlier in the week. No idea why I got them and couldn't have went at short notice.
