I think he had a whale of a time too & fingers crossed he enjoyed it enough to want to come back. He did refer to the tour as his first Strictly tour & Anita referred to herself as his first Strictly partner in their exit interview on ITT so fingers crossed he will be back come September!

If you are a purest perhaps Joanne Clifton is a good partner but not too impressed with her otherwise.Prefer his wife and hope she is on Strictly.The Cliftons are there why not these two? My wife was second row from the stage on Sunday evening so had a great view along with her sister and 2 friends..All they wanted to see was Gleb and Anita dancing....everyone else was a distraction apart from Mel.He is a expressive dancer.The feedback from puckle_fish basically is the same as the hundreds of women on his FB...that they just don't want this to end (G/A)......its romance by osmosis. Certain dancers do not look good together no matter how professionally qualified they are or how well they dance. Anybody know if his wife was in London on Valentines Day? My wife is certain it was her about 3 rows back from the stage .

Posh started this trend and Wayne and Colleen seemed to have learnt from it.Basically the husbands are the talent and maybe Posh but they endorse products.Eg: Colleen was being paid £1million plus per year by Asda for their clothing line a few years ago and £25.000pm for supposedly writing a column in either Hello or OK.The column was about one paragraph probably written by somebody else.So this applies to colognes/perfumes etc.They use the name to endorse their product.I see Beckham endorsing a H and M clothing selection right now .What would he know...he is a footballer but they get paid big sums. This is what Gleb's PR could do for him....and Bold are not able to do that....

Gleb have not been living in Russia for 12 years and he became well known only when the russian DWTS started. Before his departure, he appeared in commercials, music videos. And to be honest I don't like the fact that Elena is now mainly promoting herself mainly here, not Gleb, a real talent.

I'm no purist, I just think as far as SCD is concerned Joanne and Gleb could be good partners. To be honest, I know very little about Elena, only that I didn't like their choreography much on you tube and think Gleb should have better choreography than that. Anyway, if Elena does make SCD, it can only make their lives happier and more settled. Good luck to them.

I agree with you on Elena. She seems lovely and charming, but I haven't liked what I've seen of them dancing together on YouTube (may also be down to the fact that, in its purest form, this kind of dancing isn't my favorite, either). And I'm afraid they'd always be paired as Karen/Kevin and Janette/Aljaz so often are.

You're right, Joanne and Gleb have been a good pair. Must be the sizes/heights/coloring and general chemistry. She may be a world champion in ballroom, but when she's out of hold doing other dances she often looks a bit unhinged to me. Maybe he can calm her down a bit and she can tighten up his ballroom.

Joanne is fab. She gets a rough time on DS from the anti Clifton brigade but she is, as far as I'm aware the only current pro on Strictly to have ever been a world champion. I like her a lot, and really hope she gets a ringer this year.

I dont think they are allowed to say whether or not they will be back until its all offically announced in the spring. But I think the male pro line up will remain pretty much the same as last year.

Yes me too .Slightly off topic I know but linked nevertheless.Obviously we know about the history of the USSR/Russia but not the social aspects so a little known fact regarding May 9th 1945 put new light on accepted media perceptions.Millions poured into Red Sq and to the US Embassy nearby on this day.They stood looking up at the US Embassy for hours until they came out.Despite the millions lost and deprivation they came to thank the Americans for standing with them, for the food and the aid.A Russian speaking American then gave a speech and they ran up the red flag on their embassy to acknowledge them for coming.Many such examples where accepted perceptions were debunked regarding relations btw these two people.Must add I find Americans to be innovative,compassionate and braver than what we are led to believe here in this country.You tend to forget the people but remember politics.
