In the event over 30 shows they came a very close second and first , 6 times beating the other finalists.So yes....they could have won it in Dec as the entire country could vote.

I think Elena is going to join Strictly this year, that's probably why she isn't doing the Russian DWTS. Emma Slater has apparently been dropped by DWTS and I will be very surprised if she's not one of the other new pros, she was supposed to join Strictly in 2013 but decided to stay with DWTS instead.

I'd be great if Emma joined Strictly. Can't imagine why they'd relegate her to troupe again, she seems very popular with the public. Who knows what goes on behind the scenes, though.

See Gleb has retweeted another tweet hinting he'll be back on Strictly next year. Anyone know when the pros are usually confirmed? I know the celebs aren't until a couple of weeks before the launch show but the pros tend to be a bit earlier. Seems like there'll be a big shake up this year with Tristan now going too.

I think the announcement came last year in late April.

I never took to Tristan either, in fact last year I had Jamelia down as a contender. She had a lot of potential IMO, but he let her down with poor teaching and choreography.

I agree. I liked her critique of herself though and her awareness of her weaknesses in the discipline of ballroom dancing. She, like PA, had natural rhythm that had been used in pop dancing but they lacked technique. I don't think Tristan was able enough as a teacher or dancer for her. They seemed to gel as a team so in some respects he was a good partner for her.

I wonder what it is about Tristan. He's seems to be a nice guy, but I also remember at some point being disappointed by him. During his time on DWTS I realized that he's rather mediocre dance and creativity-wise and it wasn't just because he always had duffers.

Regarding Tristan McM. He is indicating that he was paired up with duffers.That can be a huge problem and one of the reasons why Gleb was lucky to be paired with Anita.Anita gave it everything and was very trusting of Gleb,ensuring his future success on SCD. Think Gleb had Tristan's problem on DWTS .
