Just want to say hi to all the posters particularly Maggie ,Lana,Josh and PuckleFish and everybody else too.Love reading your posts as I absolutely love Gleb.He is so handsome but I love his personality more .Took me ages to register on here and to post but have been reading all the while.
I love what pucklefish said about Anita and Gleb.That is exactly how I see it .Intense connection fit to burst into flames ! Dramatic I know but that is the way he affects me

I dont think Jamelia was a duffer in all honesty. On paper she had a lot more going for her than Anita did, and she really did shine in group dances.

I believe the pros and celebrities are all introduced to each other in late August to see how they all get a long/if the chemistry is right etc. For example Fern Britton was supposed to be paired with Robin originally, but when the producers saw how well he got along with Lisa Riley he got her instead.

Do they meet before they are paired up together ? Do they have a clue ? If so it must mean that Gleb and Anita did get on before being officially paired up if its all taken into consideration.I wasn't aware of this because in all honesty I have only been watching because of Gleb and since he came. I have seen one video where he swings her around in a group setting so assuming that is BEFORE the pairing ?

I have read these articles today on Tristan and he does seem to indicate that he was not too happy with his partners and as a result he was not reaching his full potential.He is nice looking I have to say but not sure Jamelia suits him. All I saw was him being swamped by a big blue dress. I would have hated it if Gleb had been paired with Jamelia . Anita was best all round. and they looked good together although obviously Gleb is the betterlooking by miles not just Anita but anybody.Sorry if it sounds cheeky.....just an opinion.Only other person I liked dancing with Gleb is Aliona and you can see she is affectionate with him.She touches his face and gives him big hugs.As for Anita.....she is smitten for sure and it all came out in the final ITT if not before. They were an electric pair.Lovely .

Welcome Melissa. I hope you enjoy the forum and continue as a keen Gleb enthusiast. I was spurred on to create the thread by two other forumites, Vodka being one. It's been an interesting place and nice to have insight from a male (Josh) and a Russian (Lana) who has followed Gleb and Elena's careers for a while.

The celebs meet to rehearse the opening group dance and all of that occurs before they are paired with their pro partners. It gives time for their interactions to be observed. I feel bad for dissing Tristan as he seems like a genuine person and he and Jamelia were a hoot together by the end of their SCD time. I don't think Jamelia would have been a good pairing for Gleb who was finding his feet. I suspect that Jamelia was needy in a way that Anita was not. In fact Anita's selflessness, which is how she seemed, was a good ingredient in the relationship with Gleb. Gleb is a devilishly handsome angel but Anita was stunning with her large eyes, long face and broad smile. I noted that Natalie was supportive of Gleb as well and we know that Anton did his bit too

I think the producers probably already have an idea who is getting who before the series starts, but they do test the chemistry out by having them all meet up and rehearse a group number. As for what kind of partner Gleb will get next series, Ive no idea. He should probably get a ringer to make up for being robbed of a place in the final last time, a likable ringer though and not an unbearable Denise Van Outen or Natalie Gumede type.

Ive said on here before that I think someone like Chelsee Healey would be perfect for him and you'd get to see the more fun side of his personality. But there have been no rumours about potential celebrities yet, except for the usual suspects like Ruth and Eamon from This Morning. We'll have to wait and see.

Jason Gilkison is just now in Australia and Gleb arrived there too.

I agree! Just thinking someone like Frankie or Pixie would also have been a good match. Having now seen some of his routines with Adelina I would love to see him with someone in a similar vein who is willing to throw themselves in from the get go and just go along with whatever brilliant choreography Gleb throws back at them.

I saw that when Josh (thanks!) posted above that Gleb wouldn't be doing the show today. It's a shame. Gio and Joanne are lovely, but I'd be very disappointed if I had a ticket for Gleb and got Gio instead.

The producers do a pretty good job. I think they tried both Anita and Kirsty with Gleb--so glad they went with Anita. (Though poor Kirsty would've probably had a better experience with Gleb than with Brendan.)

I am so surprised that they dance together before being paired up. It does make sense of course. So would you say that Anita and Kirsty knew that they may be paired with Gleb ? It looks here as if Anita is really happy with Gleb and before being officially paired up as everybody seems to be there............

I have watched Strictly due to Gleb so unaware how it works. I googled up Chelsee and I hope he isn't ever paired up with her sorry ! I liked his personality as it came out naturally with Anita .....don't know who else he could be paired with. Anita was pretty good for him as a dance partner and although 110% she is smitten with him...they still got on with the business of dancing and really that is what it should be about. I liked how he said he wanted a girl who was serious about wanting to dance and Gio said he wanted a "beautiful" girl ....so who is the shallow one....? Gleb and Anita's dances have fire and passion smouldering under the surface ....unforgettable. My fave is the tango.

I have girlfriends from the same background as Anita (Punjabi) from school and uni days and they range from Penelope Cruz lookalikes to Aishwarya Rai types so Anita seems fairly average in comparison.They are always dancing anyway and they love watching Gleb dance .......we are all big fans ...if only we could dance with Gleb ...any chance ? xx

A guest appearance in Burn the Floor maybe? I know that Joanne Clifton did a guest stint in Australia last year.

BiB1: We see so little of the first meet-up rehearsal, so who knows how many pairings they try out. But I would guess everyone has a good idea, since they do choreograph a dance for the first show and in that dance, Gleb was paired up with both Kirsty and Anita. I think some of the other later real couples were also paired up.

BiB2: Thanks for the links, I don't remember having seen the first one before. Gleb comes across so sweet, it's hard for me to imagine people being so negative about him at the beginning.

BiB3: Ah, those good genes. Some of the Bollywood stars are otherworldly gorgeous. I think what makes Anita beautiful to me is her personality--she lights up from within.

Or based on the recent social media, just a holiday in the sun. But I hope we get to see something professional soon.

Its a first for my wife to know they are paired on chemistry.We thought they applied a blind date type of concept .So nothing neutral there.Just saw the very first pro dance and we see him dancing with Anita and Kirsty plus Carol Kirkwood of all people.....Carol and Gleb......? Notice how much Carol and Pasha look alike !

...Sinead (my wife) posted a comment on Gleb's FB some time ago and a Arkhidy Savchenko liked it so we wondered who it was and came to this conclusion .It was this older fella and the woman who we think is the mother is called Regina Savchenko.


Anita has this tremendous personalty so she was a great dance partner for Gleb.Projects well and as I said before they are both articulate . Those Bollywood stars usually are Punjabi Indian or must look like one .That is their yardstick of goodlooking as friends have told me over the years and personally I think they beat Hollywood hands down.

I forgot to mention that the comment my wife posted and Arkhidy Savchenko liked was during Feb 2016 (SCD tour) and went along the lines of .......: "going to miss Anita and Gleb dancing .A magical duo and wish they would dance together again.Best partnership for a long long time and best of all time for me "

Only comment he liked in the hundreds posted so must be he fully agreed with it .

Gleb has posted photos on social media from Australia. He looks relaxed and happy. He's so gorgeous when he's relaxed and happy.

Agree about BiB1--I like that he goes so casual--it's very sexy. I remember seeing much older photos where he was dressed much differently (a bit new rich tacky).

BiB2: Interesting question .... Maybe a confident woman who can already dance would request him. She'd be able to keep up and not be embarrassed by having to learn to dance and would know that she'd get interesting routines.

Reason I checked it out was the fact somebody called Savchenko liking Sinead's comment is a bit of a curiosity and a giveaway.The FB concerned showed this man's pics and Anita and Gleb's youtube link.Just had a quick look on the intsagram and there you have who appear to be his parents from last summer and the sister came up on the fathers facebook.Gleb is a public figure so....... lol...we can snoop around.

I particularly like number 2 where they are eating, 7 and absolutely number 17 ....he is stunning. I want to say that I agree with Josh regarding the voting on tour.I won't mention it again after this as a respect to Maggie and everyone here, but at the same time it needs to be said. While I was waiting to post on this thread I read that of the "winners".Phone bills coming in now £80 + each pertaining to that event.Its a free country and people can do what they want but a few affected the outcome rather than the majority.And now regarding voting for some dances on SCD...its all hands on deck,day and night and PM back to avoid spelling it out on DS (as G/G fans have cottoned on)....just as it was on the LIVE TOUR. Really some folk either have more money than sense or its an obsession.Who really goes to a show and is PM/texting back to HQ while its on, as you leave and before you arrive home?? It was a concerted plan. There I have said it now....promise not to mention it again xx
