Actually emphasis in the surname should be on the first syllable: sAv-сhen-ko. As the last syllable has an unstressed vowel, the sound in the end will be something between O and A. BTW I don't understand why English speaking hosts (American and British) pronounce it with the emphasis on the second syllable. It's a bit annoying.

Hmmmmm. Is this where we find out she is joining Strictly? I know the pros will be announced within the next few weeks, it was on the 22nd April that names were revealed last year.

I may of course be completley wrong, but they both were at Jason Giliickson's 50th birthday party in Sydney with Alijaz and Janette. I think he's the one who decides on the pros, isn't he?

Actually my friends and I have been watching all of Glebs dances with his various dance partners and those he might have been partnered with.This is not scientific in any way.....our opinion is that to date Anita has been his best dance partner for a variety of reasons.They looked good together considering he is light years ahead in looks from her or any other person.Danced well together and appealed to the public as a dance couple. The ones coming close second are Sharna Burgess and Adelina S.Gleb and Aliona look good when we have seen them dancing and Janette would too.

Why he was paired with Lisa Van Pump or Zendaya ,God knows .Its like dancing with your mother (Lisa) .Zendaya, Natalie and Oti do not look right with him at all.Neither does Joanne Clifton and going on the crop of female partners for 2015...Anita was the best for Gleb most definitely .We got to see him and really me and my friends haven't liked someone this much in a long while if at all .Really looking forward to seeing him again and hope he gets a partner equally likeable to us the public so we see more of him. xx

BiB: I'm inclined to think so too .... or at least that she'll be getting an official audition in London. The fact that they went to Australia (apparently) only for his 50th makes me think Elena's in serious contention.

Agreed on almost all counts! I also love those training room looks of Gleb's--the slightly sloppy, casual look sets off his natural beauty very well. And the man bun is very flattering on him.

About his partners, I think he also looked good with Joanne Clifton, but otherwise agree. I think Anita was such a good partner for him that we're bound to be disappointed this year.

Thanks for that.What annoyed me was the smugness in the plan and the vindictiveness towards G/A for even daring to win or be second. My wife was at the O2 on Valentines Day and I paid in the region of £240 for her and the same for her sister so they could sit together.Add two friends who paid for themselves.They sent texts of approx £20 each for G/A in the time they had........they could either watch it and then text ( or text right the way through as apparently the other side did.)She enjoyed being so close to the stage and said she thought Gleb and Anita looked happy .My wife liked how sometimes he would say something to her and she would hug him back.Its obvious on the rampant crab clips . What is so nice about this couple is that they seem to be good friends,very comfortable with each other without causing any untoward drama . And for my wife its like they are so well matched, she would love to see them dance together again .You know how sometimes you get an actor and actress and they are a appealing formula in a film....this is what Anita is for Gleb.Obviously he is the talent but she was the instrument .

Well being a business analyst helps and public figures make it even easier as they post everything about themselves . My wife likes Gleb and Anita and now I am actually interested how he trends .

Since I have seen the sister's pics , I think the daughter looks like the sister and therefore more like him rather than the mother .

I'm watching Elena's (and Emma Slater's) Twitter accounts very closely at the moment. Emma has suddenly been followed by lots of Strictly related accounts, including people who work behind the scenes on the show. I know people on the main forum say Emma won't do Strictly because her life is in the USA now, but she has been dropped by DWTS and I presume needs to earn a living, she's unlikely to turn down four months work in the UK I would have thought.

I think Elena and Emma will be two of the new pro's with Neil Jones to replace Tristan.

I don't think they did go for the party....it happened while they were there anyway.Elena was there for about a week to 10 days before Gleb joined her from HK and all three of them have been together for about 7-9 days . Assuming Elena had some reason to go to Oz straight from Canada (approx Feb 27th ) via Moscow .Seems they were in Moscow for a few days and he went to HK and she to Oz.....must get a lot of airmiles thats for sure. Neil Jones wanted to meet up in HK too.Either way it seems certain that Gleb will be here in SCD 2016.Lets hope his wife is too.....just so they can be in one place together for a good amount of time ....probably why the wife was constantly tweeting reports of "Strictly bosses have eye on Glebs wife as new pro...!"

I see .... Yes, they certainly are a well-travelled family. Of course it would be good for them for Elena to be on the show, and I quite like her on her own. I just wouldn't want to see them always paired up in the group dances.

Thought I world have a good peek at both their twitters/FB and they do travel a lot .
So apparently after the live tour wrapped up Feb 14th they both went to Canada for some dance event which lasted till Feb 26th.From there to Russia and then Gleb arrived in Hong Kong on March 2nd and she arrived in Oz on the same day. They live in Hong Kong usually and I think he had their daughter with him.Btw....how cute is she?
Gleb went to Oz on March 10th and then they all set off for the UK on the 21st.Anyway I see on her FB some British person has said that they hope she is signed up for SCD 2016 with Gleb......and.....she has actually liked that comment and that is dated March 12th.So I think we can assume she will also be signed up to keep Gleb and frankly Gleb is pretty much who most of us are interested in Me and my friends most certainly. Wouldn't really bother me if they danced together in group dances. Apparently Elena has had a nice sleepy day in London.Guessing she means she is jetlagged therefore sleeping ,as her written English does not appear to be as good as Glebs so assuming her spoken and meaning is slightly off centre as well . Jannette,Aljaz,Gio,Kevin,Pasha have not tweeted anything remotely concerning a meeting today and some of them are not even in the UK . Would have thought they could sign contracts from anywhere in the world so they have come for a reason............hope its not something daft like to be on Towie..............considering who his management is ......: .........stayingfocusedandcreative..... xx

Was glad to see that -- hope he's doing something creative. It was such a shame he had to pull out of the benefit show a few weeks ago.


BiB: My thoughts exactly .... I was quite disappointed when I saw who his management in the UK is. I hope he doesn't go the trashy reality show/sidebar of shame route. Good management could get him some nice dancing gigs and also steer him toward things based more on his personality--he made quite a splash in his first series and it seems that could be capitalized on.

I didn't know who his management were until I read various people here discuss it and lets face it , Bold tend to do trashy stuff . Josh has been saying he needs to do such and such and I agree with that .That route is entirely different and better for him but also for his real fans because we don't want to see sleaze or trash.Somebody on his twitter even suggested Megan McK as a dance partner for him and I wouldn't put it past BOLD to get her there because she is their client as well.That was back in Dec 2015 so I hope that thought doesn't see the light of day and hate to say it but much as I and my mates love Gleb......I wouldn't want to watch SCD if such a thing ever happened. Being positive though lets hope this is something useful

Bold do have a lot of TOWIE/Geordie Shore type people on their books, and I do remember seeing a photo of Gleb with the repugnant Lizzie Cundy during the last series of Strictly probably set up by Bold, quite frankly Strictly pro's are better than that. Do something like the Clifton's do and put on shows etc instead.

He is very friendly with Arlene Phillips, they tweet each other lot and has photo of them together at some event pinned at the top of her Twitter page. I wonder what that's all about? We all know Arlene has an eye for a handsome young man

I hope Megan McK does not join SCD. SCD did allow Mark Wright (ex-TOWIE) and, to a lesser extent, Abbie Clancey so I'm not sure how high they set standards ...

Anyway glad Gleb's here and can't wait for the autumn.

Looks like they are setting up their own dancing stage show. Don't know if it's just them choreographing it or if they are actually starring in it themselves. The English isn't all that great in the tweet I've seen, but it was tweeted from London.

Also, yesterday Elena liked a tweet from someone who said they hoped both she and Gleb will be on Strictly 2016. Looks quite hopeful I think.
