Hi Melissa. Someone commented on the main forum at the start of last series that Anita had clear, open features. I think I know what they meant and I think this is why she looks beautiful and, to me, she looks the same in make up as out of it. That's a compliment in case anyone reads it as ambiguous!

Glad you all enjoyed the clips, during the series I used to watch them when they were posted up on the BBC site every weekend. The clip of Gleb cutting across Carol and Pasha stuck in my mind as it cracked me up, as did the interviews with sweaty tousled Gleb for some reason

I agree that Anita looks glowing and beautiful in the clips.

I posted the behind the scenes vid for Halloween week in the Helen app thread, if you look it out on the BBC youtube or BBC Strictly website there's only a very short glimpse of Gleb but it's a moment that's worth rewatching, Jeremy's phobia is Gleb's rippling muscles

Hope all is well in your world.Just wanted to say that I love all Gleb's Behind the Scenes,In Training and Saying Goodbye (to those eliminated ) plus their ITT.Only wish they were all on one footage

Speaking of Helen I did notice that Gleb said something really genuine about her.Probably the only time he made a comment on any of those voted off.His comment was very sincere.

I didn't know of Helen to be honest.When I was checking to determine if Gleb and Anita were through to next week - I was looking on the DM and some person commented :

"er off midwife GONE "

and another went into a surgical procedure and I and a lot of people are thinking....what ? but obviously unless you knew Helen and that she was on MIDWIFE....it made no sense but that sentence makes me laugh now ....its so bald...."er off midwife gone"

The other thing to be considered is that on SCD....the camera angles present the dances in a very compact way and to best advantage whereas on tour you see the presence/ react to the vibe so in essence, Gleb and Anita did very well indeed .They were 5th on SCD and that was a very debatable decision yet they were first numerous times and close second otherwise on tour in 30 shows.

So glad you enjoyed all the clips, I rather liked listening to Gleb sing in Russian, I haven't the first clue what he was saying but his pronunciation . . . I'd like to hear him speak in Russian more often

I think I read that comment on the DM at the time . . . I can almost laugh about it now It was a night of mixed emotions for me as I was so relieved Gleb and Anita were through then devastated Helen left. The sincerity of Gleb's comments regarding Helen really struck me.

I've read elsewhere on the forum that the pros were announced late April last year so hopefully we'll find out whether Gleb and possibly Elena are going to be part of the next series very soon

Last year the pro line up was announced on the 22nd of April. However in previous years it's been as late June/July time.

I'm also interested to know if Oti will be back? She deserves another chance I think.

It is a lovely photo of them both, Elena is stunning And I am very much appreciating unshaven tousled Gleb

I think Gleb looks tired but even then he knows how to look good in front of a camera and Elena is similarly photogenic. Their little girl is a poppet but I feel sorry for her being without mum and dad much of the time even though she has her devoted grandparents.

Anyway, no sour note; they are all gorgeous and look happy as a family. I admire their work ethics too and look forward to seeing Gleb in the autumn with Elena

Maybe these are prior commitments but that is a lot of travelling .All long haul .My wife and I feel that they both want to be on SCD together and work their career round that . Also feel that their long term aim is the US going on his responses. Maybe they have to follow up these other commitments because Bold is not really capable of getting them what they could get.Potential is huge.As a couple they are very photogenic and they are a pretty conservative family unit not to mention the talent . The wife is tall but not overly tall.....her heels make her as tall as Gleb but I would say she is about 5ft 7 and she looks really good.

They look in proportion to each other . Natalie and Oti are way too big and diverse looking to suit . Too big boned as well. And as I mentioned before Anita did not distract ...they looked very good as a dance couple.

I agree that Gleb did not look right when coupled with Natalie. Didn't see him dance with Oti. Think either Karen or Joanne would be best suited of the present female pros although Karen seems to dance with Kevin.

Still no pro line up news. Everyday I come on this forum to see if it's been announced. I'm sure we'll here soon.

I really hope Gleb doesn't get Laura Whitmore by the way. Nothing against her, and she could be an AbbeyClancy/ Caroline Flack type who does Strictly and changes people's opinions of them but I struggle to warm to her and she's just tabloid fodder really. Not that I think she'll do Strictly anyway, we're at that stage now where the whole world and his wife is going to get linked with the show. I think the fact she said she's looking forward to working ITV in the future suggests she will be the new host of the Xtra Factor or The Voice UK when it relaunches on ITV next year.

I really don't want Gleb paired with someone just because they are both attractive to look at. Obviously height and personality come into it. We know that he nearly got paired with Kirsty Gallagher last year until they tried them out together. Though I always got the impression he wanted Georgia originally.

Just wanted to make a few points raised by other posters but don't have time to quote each one so will address at random.

@VD.....lol.....seems I don't watch the box as much as my mom thinks I do as I have no clue who Laura Whitmore is but I googled her up .As for Abbey Clancy,she just annoys me .Wasn't there something going on with her years ago BEFORE she got together with Crouch ? I was not aware that Gleb was hoping to be paired with Georgia .Not seen any extra interaction with her whatsoever .I get the impression that he wanted to showcase his credentials this time and he has done that with Anita .They appealed to me more than any other couple and got me watching SCD and that is a first for me and my mates.We never went anywhere on Saturday nights just so we could watch Gleb and Anita although our Saturday nights are fairly tame.....cinema and a meal. Gleb and Anita were definitely paired correctly. I have seen Gleb dancing with Natalie and Oti and it looks so wrong .I saw another pic of Gleb dancing with Oti and does he look beautiful.....she spoils the picture.I am sure she is a nice person but there is nothing attractive or appealing about her .Sorry for any offense but there it is. Will post it if I find it but he looks so sexy its unbelievable.She is standing in front of him and we are like.....move out the way....!! They are dancing but separately

Hey guys. Wow, this thread has grown since I was last here! It's nice to see so much Gleb love after some of the stick he got during the show last year I binged on old Gleb/Anita videos today and thought there might have been some news on his return but alas no. Not that I doubt he'll be back, in fact I would be very surprised if he and Elena weren't both on Strictly this year. My only doubt about Elena is the show pushing Gleb as a sex symbol and perhaps therefore not wanting to advertise the fact he isn't available. But then you have Aljaz and Janette so maybe I'm being too cynical I can see Gleb and his wife being quite keen on building their profiles over here. Not sure about how it works in the US but the Strictly dancers do enjoy quite a high celeb status over on our little island, and I think Gleb enjoys all the opportunities being a Strictly pro offers.

Anyway, hopefully we'll get something solid soon. I won't lie - if I'm totally wrong and he's not back, I might need therapy

He better be back or SCD can wave goodbye to a lot of people.I think SCD were pretty spiteful to him and Anita actually.And if they don't take Mrs Savchenko on despite her perfectly good credentials then they better make sure they pay him well enough for two .If they gain from his persona and they do.....why penalise him or her on the financial front when they are both working so hard to establish themselves ?

I think Gleb is in 100% for the next series, and I think Elena will be with him. I can't think why else they were in London the other week and they seem to be just drifting about around the world at the moment doimg various corporate dancing gigs rather than actually committing to something. Presumably this will be until they come back to the UK in August to start preparing for the next series.

Abbey Clancey, meh. Laura Whitmore, double meh.

I don't think there was anything overt from Gleb about who he might have preferred to dance with although there was some fun, flirty moment during the series where he purred about her. If he had not been paired with Anita then Helen would have been an obvious choice. In fact I'd like to see him with a Helen type this coming season.

I wonder why he didn't get Helen? Helen was the tallest woman, and he's the tallest male pro. Years ago they used to pair them on height, that's why they had Ian who's about 6'4 or something, he was perfect for the talk willowy model types. Now they look at chemistry and who looks good together , and yes they do like the gossip that comes with the curse of Strictly thing. Though with having a wife who's likely to be on the show with him next time, I can't see him getting involved in all that. Especially after all that fuss when he was on DWTS, it's a shame I really want to see the more flirty side to him but I think he's scared of being accused of anything again. That's why he was so restrained at first.

I suspect that Helen's reserve made her a better match for Aljaz than Gleb, who was a little reserved also. I think Gleb's flirty side came through little by little and he was very flirty with Mel, the tour host! Perhaps he wanted to make a serious mark on SCD -? Perhaps he was continuing to prove himself to Elena -? Perhaps he did not want a beautiful blonde partner who was splitting up from her husband -?

I think the flirting with Mel was acceptable and harmless fun .No need for any more than that. Can't imagine Helen (nice lady though she is ) to be any kind of threat to Elena although I think he wanted to make serious inroads on SCD after not getting too far on the US show and also to keep Elena happy.He seems to have a lot of fans over there but he was paired with the wrong celebs to be taken seriously. So with Anita he was able to make his mark here.
