Someone on the main forum has said that all the pros who've done saucy calendars have gone now. Ola, Kristina and Aliona would do them as well, although I'd say Aliona's was quite tame compared with the others, she was dressed as a mermaid in some pics lol. I don't think its fair that the Beeb are telling the pros what they can do to earn money outside of Strictly, they have to earn a living like everyone else!

Maybe there was concern that people would vote for Gleb, even if he had a rubbish partner. Now they're saying Laura Whitmorr is a cert to take part, she's no Caroline Flack and is very hard to warm to IMO. Gleb would provavly have been lumbered with her, due to her being tall and attractive. I think Alijaz will be lumbered with her now.

I am still thinking that he was taken on but she wasn't and that forced a decision.Don't forget he and Anita proved extremely popular on the tour, coming in second every time apart from when they were first , considering Kevin , Alijaz plus Giovanni were there too.

Regarding the talk of calendars....could be, but those other dancers were also doing calendars.Thing that didn't sit too well with me and my wife was the ATTITUDe pics and interview and another gay mag interview that came out inbtw the SCD and SCD tour .Of course he was required to say the only PC thing allowed on that subject here in the UK but it was not really something that he needed to do. And that could have been the reason.

Lets face it............its done to death here.That community are " brave" and I am sick and tired of hearing how wonderful they are and how they "suffered " when really in the UK or anywhere.....keep it to yourself . I think they also asked him about same sex dancing and Russian attitudes to it which are very hard line.......so more likely that,than the calendar which brings me back again to BOLD.They must have organised that seedy shambles and should have known that SCD and ATTITUDE do not go together . It was mentioned here before with Lana.....what he said caused us to have perceptions about Russia to which she took offence but the truth is that ATTITUDE asked him a question and his reply..... can be considered a political statement regarding Russia.

Hope they can utilise something better for this couple on the back of SCD and MC.

OK, I have a little bit more info regarding 'Glebgate'. Allegedly the producers were unhappy with some of the choregraphy he produced, especially the 'Gleb special' and the salsa move where he practically thrusted his croch into Anita's face. They asked him to tone it down, but he didn't. Len was apparently disgusted with the crotch move in particular and complained about it.

He also pissed off the costume department, but we knew that anyway.

The BBC itself has ruled out same sex dancing on SCD as they feel it to be a family show.Obviously we could debate till the cows come home that 2 daddies or 2 mummies can provide a family life too or even a single man or single woman but the traditional family and society is actually a man and a woman . When he was quoted on this it caused a lot of sniggering so no SCD and ATTITUDE do not go together.....the calendar is the least of it and in actual fact so are the Gleb specials.That jumping on her face was quite early on...about the third dance.....nothing similar later so I don't feel that was the reason and surely Len would see it only on the day of the dance .....?

He could have spoken out against child poverty in Russia or against the neo Nazis who do not hesitate to kill which affects far more people .Thousands of children are in orphanges in Russia waiting to be adopted but the fact is that ATTITUDE had him promote their agenda.The calendar was tame by comparison.

The fact is gay people don't have any rights in Russia. They are frequently subjected to horrendous verbal and physical abuse, and are even stuck in prison for daring to wave a gay pride flag in public.

Look Vodka......SCD is a family show according to the BBC and I for one am grateful for that ....read traditional family for that. The BBC have insisted they do NOT want same sex dancing and you can bet your life that most of the UK are grateful for that too,me included.Now I know its fashionable to negate whats traditional and ATTITUDE's agenda is obviously promoting what they consider right for them which in this case they asked him a question and he replied positively to same sex dancing on SCD and gay rights in Russia. Dear Josh and Vodka (plus anyone else reading). Sadly we are all disappointed and we do not know the full and definitive reason for Gleb not returning. This of course can lead to acrimony and it would be shame for us Gleb supporters.

Taking the idiom "no smoke without fire", I suspect Gleb not returning is linked to the production team taking against him combined with demand/ultimatum for Elena to be invited to join as a pro. On the latter point what I never understand (and this applies in the case of Gordana, Trent's wife) is, what's wrong with the spouse of a pro who has made a success in their first series joining the team, especially when there's a vacancy? Are we to believe that Oti last year and Katya/Oksana this year have been on the production team's wish list such that neither Gordana or Elena could join?

I/we'll never know and it's frustrating. It's a sign too of how much we value our pro dancers. Just wish they were valued more and had contracts longer than 1-2 years.

Don't know whats going on this week .Sat thru MC and still no Gleb ,yesterday or tonight and they are saying something about semi-finals next week .Its getting really tedious and making me and mine quite disgruntled.

I would imagine that his pics and interview with Attitude was more detrimental to SCD and him.My Mom and Dad didn't like the pics or the message and I did stop and think for awhile.It was direct polar to what SCD had said , so blame his management totally.If you follow his FB and twitter....and I think I mentioned this before but he posted the Attitude cover again in April or March....they must of asked him to...but even after 7 days he only got 3 or 4 likes where usually he has hundreds if not thousands (when with Olivia) so then he took it off and this is probably the only pic he has removed since I have been following him which has been since Sept 2015.

Melissa, it's funny you mention a pregnancy as Ive also been wondering if we will be getting an announcement soon as well? Maybe I'm reading too much into this but it wouldn't suprise me in the slightest, it was the first thing I thought when I saw 'family commitments' given as a reason. But that was before bakctsageone revealed more info about him being dropped.

Bold are not great management IMO, just look at their roster, it's full of TOWIE/Geordie Shore/Ex on the Beach people. Not very classy, and I don't think theyve handled things well.

BIB 2: Seeing the new Spanish guy (whom a person on the MF had figured out based on his initials) had already made me think Gleb was the shocking exit--he's so obviously been cast for looks (in addition to dance ability, which I'm sure he has.) On the other hand, it seems that most of their new pros are cast for looks. One of the new women (Oksana) I remember as being part of the DWTS troupe of indistinguishable blonde Barbies.

Don't like the way he tries to twists his comments about Giovanni and Georgia, but the comments about the BBC censoring his calendar are very interesting and sort of cofirme what backstageone and my other source have said. I wonder if the 50/50 proposition backstage mentioned actually refers to a leaving via mutual consent?

Thanks for posting this. By the G&G comments do you mean about relationships on SCD and the 'curse'? Because Gleb fell victim to a curse of sorts when he was on DWTS and also acknowledged this pattern when interviewed by Playboy. I doubt he would say anything unkind about G&G because he's pals with both.

I suspect it was a mutual agreement because an insider could have leaked a different account had the beeb wanted to ensure the public knew they were letting Gleb go. I have to ask what on earth we can expect in Gleb's 2007 calendar ..? <gulps>

Dan says that Gleb was disapproving in his comments about G&G, but all he says that is that everyone could see it coming. Which is another rumour I'd heard a the time as well.

I think I am inclined to agree with you Josh.....he quit because she was not offered a contract but he was and it meant them been separated for long periods of time and its not worth it for £35,000.And you can't set yourself up in London on that basic salary.
They need a stable home life for themselves and their daughter.
This interview clarifies that they would have been apart for long periods so he quit.
Such a shame and no I won't buy a calendar Gleb or no Gleb but I am a fan so wish to see him on our TV screens apart from in MC whenever he is on.......lol......hope he doesn't go out early either .Most of the ones I have seen are greaseballs and their cooking really puts me off .That Alexis was ok,must admit ....good presentation and he was tidy.
