It's a bit strange to me that he dropped several partners - and one had to sit out the whole tour because of it - that alone might ring alarm bells in the producers' minds, imo.”

Either way he's not going quietly, and I now think that the 'business meeting' in London the other week was him and his manager working out how they were going to deal with it. Its caused a huge media storm, which has taken the spotlight off the new pro line announcement. Maybe that was the idea? I find it hard to believe this is the last we'll see him off though, and ive got a nagging feeling he might turn up on IAC in Novemeber. They've already had Vincent and Camila on it. I'd rather it was Strictly in all honesty.
The dropping of partners is interesting, it's not good, but he'd probably have felt more confident lifting Elena than another random pro.”
I thought that dropping partners might be an issue as the beeb no doubt has insurance costs for such events. Dropping Natalie, which meant she was out of the tour, and other work for a few months, would have cost someone else.
It remains an enigma but I can see he might be a difficult character behind the scenes as he takes dancing and appearance seriously, perhaps too much so.
